Been filming up in The Lake District for the last ten days. Just had the morning off and took a stroll into Ambleside where I stumbled upon a little gem of a shop/gallery. It's called Homes of Football and is run/owned by a guy called Stuart Clarke who has devoted his life to taking shots of all things football. I then remembered I had read about him a couple of years ago in some Sunday glossy mag. His stuff is truly amazing. We got talking and he dug out for me a large mounted photograph of Leeds Road taken at twilight from the top of Kilner Bank whilst we were playing Southend in the cup in '93. Awesome photo... it's now in the back of the car. He's got some really amazing images that truly show what it's like to be a football fan. I urge anyone who's ever in the area to search it out and have a look for yourself... you'll not be disappointed. www.homesoffootball.co.uk

Aaahh, Ambleside, a more pleasant place you'll struggle to find. Stayed there with my girlfriend for the last couple of years, but strangely never been into The Homes of Football. When relatives from Australia were over recently, my parents took them up there for a day and they visited the place, bringing me back some Town coasters with images of Leeds Rd on. The next time I go up, I must take a look myself.
Do you get your boat back Reece, and take it for a spot of sailing on Windermere, only for tragedy to strike?

That picture of a floodlit Leeds Road is absolutely fantastic! Cheers for the link Reece That's the one. Only one of fifty! Got some brilliant little tile coasters with images from Town programme covers of the late sixties/early seventies on them. That's the old man's Christmas present sorted, then!

I have been there -it's very good.
My sister brought me the Southend lone supporter one just after we had played them this year - she thought it looked just like me - needless to say i wasn't on my own this season

Just sent an enquiry to the shop, and got the following reply:
Paul I sold exactle this picture this morning at £95 to the coronation Street actor Reece Dinsdale. But i have another!
Pictures are available 13x11 inches at £45+£5p&p or 25x22 inches (four times the size) at £95 + £15 post. (The panoramic ones are only in the bigger size). I print all on gallery-card, sign them, mount them myself. As limited editions.
There is a bigger, rarer version of these pictures printed on a chrome surface. Tell us if you are interested in these.
We can still get things out for Xmas. Stuart
