If he goes it seems a really strange choice for him... But if he is being offered say double wages it would naturally turn his head.. And sadly in 2012 players tend to be pretty much in charge.. If he goes it won't tarnish what I think about the guy as he has been an absolute gem on and off the field

I certainly hope not - the thought of having to rely on Novak, Lee or Spencer is genuinely scarey. On this thought - can you imagine how awesome Rhodes would have been if the opposition had to worry about other goal threats from us ?

If Rhodes didn't have team built around him and players sacrificing their natural game to support this (e.g. Novak) he would not score as many goals.

Alan Nixon(@reluctantnicko) has also just tweeted a Blackburn fan to say he's not sure that a deal will happen. Cast iron article then..................... :suicide:

If it's in the Mirror then it must be true.
When have they ever misled the British public?

Jordan is the hottest striker outside the Premier League! Why would we sell him for £6 million, he must be worth at least £8 million! Also why sell him to a rival? I would very disappointed if Dean sells Jordan at all, but if he goes, it must be for full market value. If Steven Fletchers worth £12 million then Jordan must be worth £8 million at least!

From what he has put on twitter it sounds like this is what Blackburn are going to do and have told me and possibly Rhodes agent has said they want the deal to happen.
Lets see what tomorrow brings but Nixon is hardly the most reliable source.

My personal view, from piecing together what I have heard, is that £6 million + substantial addons and wages of £2 million will get Rhodes for Blackburn. Whether Rovers would be prepared to fund that kind of outlay is, of course, an entirely different question!

Jordan is a top lad, but please as a career move Blackburn Rovers would not be clever! An offer of £2 million per year must be tempting. This is not the Blackburn Rovers of Jack Walker & Kenny Dalglish, it's Steve Kean & Venkys!

Whether itbwould be a careermove is debabtable but money wise it would be.Expect things to move if they come up with the right offer because he is certainly interested as his agent will confirm.Things are moving all the time and town have enquired abouta couple of strikers if things fall in to place he will go.

Clark giving him the inside line there. What puzzles me is, after showing bob all ambition to stay in the PL and going down with a whimper, why are Blackburn now spending big to get back up? If they had spent some money in January they may not have gone down in the first place and been £m's better off. Weird.

There's talk on the Blackburn Rovers fans forum of him being offered a get-out clause if they're not promoted at the 1st attempt.
IF that's true, coupled with a salary of £35k per week then I can see that being tempting to JR.
If they're offering £2M + add-ons then I can't see them raising the offer enough to tempt Deano even to part with an unsettled Rhodes. As well as that, if he were to go now, there isn't long to replace him. If JR was going to be sold in this transfer window I think he'd have gone already.

Grayson has confirmed AGAIN that nobody has come close to their valuation on JoRho. Think blackburn will get bored and will move on to unsettle the next player they can't afford / has no desire to play for a drunk.
