He's unproven. We're not in a position where we can take a gamble on players for positions we're lacking in quality in. We need someone who's been there and done it and can score goals. Looking at his goals/game ratio (which is a goal every 0.18 games according to Soccerbase) just doesn't fill me with any confidence. |

Because players like that drop off trees, especially at this point. Hopefully he'll do well for us... |

I know what you mean but those types of players won't be joining us.Look at Simon Cox from Forest he looked the part,but if you were him who would join Town or Forest? |

Not saying we shouldn't still be after a more proven striker, but they're almost impossible to get without busting the bank. Jordan Rhodes wasn't proven and he went on to do ok for us. |

Don't get all this unproven/proven business... Like if we sign an unproven striker they're going to be crap and a 'proven' striker would be prolific... Everyone was 'unproven' at some stage! Give him a chance! Especially good point given the talk of Simon Cox on this thread. Rumour was that he'd agreed to sign for us from Swindon only for Ternent to get sacked after agreeing the deal  |

If him and Scannell play up top in a 3 is the ref going to allow Rhodes to use a motorbike to keep up with them ? Are we still in for the Dundee 2 (if we ever were) cos I'd prefer them to a striker thats never consistently been fit and (allegedly) would prefer to be at Birmingham,although in a paper today he was going to Derby after they get rid of Tyson to us
