Season so far has seen Town perform above expectation and sees us in a much better position than I thought we'd be in, as of pre-season, I'd have been happy to survive our first season back in this division and finish 4th bottom. Jordan Rhodes left, but Town could not afford to turn down such an offer, and although he got 40 goals for us last season, we relied on him totally and it was more of a "1 man side" whereas now we are more of a "team" Danny Ward has shown signs of excellence, but as of late, he owes us some "big" performances. This division is so tight and anybody beats anybody on their day, so if any team gets any sort of consistency, a large number of teams in this division could gain promotion still. If Beckford and Vaughan are fit, they will obviuosly be a threat to your goal, but if Olly Norwoods form returns he could also be a threat to you, especially from set pieces. Not sure of members of your team as only concentrate on what we've got Final score 3-1 to The Terriers, Vaughan, Clayton and Norwood

Huddersfield currently sit in 15th place in the Championship. How has your season been so far?
Excellent, however struggled recently due to injury and suspension with the back up players failing to deliver. First eleven is a match for anyone.
Jordan Rhodes left Huddersfield to go to Blackburn in the summer. How much of an impact has his absence had on the team?
It has obviously made a big impact as he was an outstanding goalscorer however some would argue it has helped with the team as no longer one man to rely on. Missed recently due to striker shortage.
Former Bolton winger Danny Ward is currently at Huddersfield. What do you think of him?
Still not lived up to expectation, now and again he can be unplayable however lacks consistency. Still able to be a future premiership player if he wants to be.
After just one defeat in seven matches under new boss Dougie Freedman, do you think promotion could be a possibility for the Wanderers?
Of course, however Bolton are one of 14 or so teams that could get promoted.
Adam Clayton and Lee Novak are currently the Terriers top scorers with 4 goals each. Who else should the Wanderers be wary of on Saturday afternoon?
Beckford and Vaughan if fit.
Which Bolton player do you think Simon Grayson will be earmarking as a potential threat to the Huddersfield goal?
Michael Ricketts
And finally, what do you think the final score will be at the John Smith's Stadium on Saturday?
2-2 without Beckford 3-2 with.

Encouraging start, Larry has bought in some decent players to strengthen a side that would never in a million years have held its own at this level. Brought in some decent players in the summer.
What we have is a strong first XI, but sadly the squad beyond that is being shown to be pretty poor.
Absence of Jordan Rhodes? Any club would miss a striker of his quality, but the amount of money we got for him was not to be sniffed at. It was the right deal for the club & it'll help us strengthen the squad in the long term.
Ward? Incredibly frustrating. When he's on form, definitely worth his place. Has a hammer of a shot & decent pace on him. Sadly though, becomes quite anonymous.
Before the start of the season, I had Bolton down to win the league & I'm surprised to see you as low in the table as you are, particularly with the quality in your side. At this point, I have no idea. It's still too early to say - but I wouldn't rule it out. No offence though, but I hope it doesn't happen. There can't be many chairmen I dislike more than Mr Gartside.
If he's on form, Jack Hunt. If fit, Jermaine Beckford & James Vaughan are quality. IF fit.
Eagles?
We're in pretty poor form at the moment. Plus It's Keith Southern's last match before he returns from suspension & without him I expect you'll walk through our midfield. Then again, it's rumoured that both Vaughan & Beckford will be back for this one. 2-2

Huddersfield currently sit in 15th place in the Championship. How has your season been so far?
fantastic, much better quality of football and not expecting to win every game makes the season far more enjoyable, on our day we are a very good team and i would be very happy with a mid table finish!
Jordan Rhodes left Huddersfield to go to Blackburn in the summer. How much of an impact has his absence had on the team?
His getting goals consitancy obvliously was a huge factor in a success from league one however we were named a one man team under him and for obvious reasons, however now he has gone we play more like a team and more players in different positions chip in with goals, whilst last season they didnt do as much.
Former Bolton winger Danny Ward is currently at Huddersfield. What do you think of him?
Hit and miss, when on loan he was fantastic and was a player we were all desperate to sign, however since becoming permenant he has been very inconsitant in his performances, when on his game he is a real threat and has a cannon of a left boot bet when he is off form he goes missing very quickly from games.
After just one defeat in seven matches under new boss Dougie Freedman, do you think promotion could be a possibility for the Wanderers?
Of course if they play up to the level that Crystal palace and Cardiff are doing at the moment.
Adam Clayton and Lee Novak are currently the Terriers top scorers with 4 goals each. Who else should the Wanderers be wary of on Saturday afternoon?
Beckford and Vaughan if there both match fit, Oliver Norwood if he is on his game and the wingers Sean Scannell and Adam Hammill if they are both on form can be very tricky to mark.
Which Bolton player do you think Simon Grayson will be earmarking as a potential threat to the Huddersfield goal?
Chris Eagles and the Davies Duo.
And finally, what do you think the final score will be at the John Smith's Stadium on Saturday?
2-1 Huddersfield, Vaughan and Ward goalscorers.

Huddersfield currently sit in 15th place in the Championship. How has your season been so far? Dreary, seen some other good teams though! Jordan Rhodes left Huddersfield to go to Blackburn in the summer. How much of an impact has his absence had on the team? About 500% Former Bolton winger Danny Ward is currently at Huddersfield. What do you think of him? I would rather not say on a public forum. After just one defeat in seven matches under new boss Dougie Freedman, do you think promotion could be a possibility for the Wanderers? No. Adam Clayton and Lee Novak are currently the Terriers top scorers with 4 goals each. Who else should the Wanderers be wary of on Saturday afternoon? Own goals? Which Bolton player do you think Simon Grayson will be earmarking as a potential threat to the Huddersfield goal? Grayson wont have looked at Bolton, got more than enough problems of his own. And finally, what do you think the final score will be at the John Smith's Stadium on Saturday? As we dont shoot and you are crap i will try 0-0. Bolton memories: Anybody remember when we took 5K to the Reebok when we were up at the top of the league and we lost I think it was 3 - 0 (OP, I bet you have not seen the whole of that end full many times to this day and I bet not many Teams have brought more than we did that day).
Also, Burnden Park when the Town Fan climbed the floodlight. It was the day that I went purple shouting "shoooooooooot" when Rodney Rowe was one on one with their keeper and he ran it in to the keeper`s arms (anybody remember that? :ranting: ).

No idea how many we took, but 2 things stand out in my memory from that day. 1) Some old bloke singing "Wacko Jacko's barmy army" then calling everybody a disgrace for not joining in. (I would have joined in, but I didn't want to call him "Wacko Jacko"). 2) Bolton were absolute quality that day. We weren't bad but they played us off the park.

I will give you a bit of feedback;
Town started well but have decided to bore the fans to death in the hope of amassing enough early points to keep our chairmans wallet shut.
Ward is awful, but he rates himself, needs to work harder be more confident and look up and be more aware, but i think he believes he is the finished article, so you can have him back.
Your main threat is K davies.
Score prediction; you should have the edge as we have enough points to end of season!!So 3-0 to you, we have given up for now, were so happy in this division? !

I've loved it- back playing decent teams with quality players, some great games, great wins and a couple of hidings. What its all aboutJordan Rhodes left Huddersfield to go to Blackburn in the summer. How much of an impact has his absence had on the team?Enormous - 10 goals and counting...Former Bolton winger Danny Ward is currently at Huddersfield. What do you think of him? Please Please Please take him back. After just one defeat in seven matches under new boss Dougie Freedman, do you think promotion could be a possibility for the Wanderers?A hell of a lot better than under Owen Coyle, who looked like he might take you down again. Owen Coyle would not have been happy with Owen Coyle for that. Adam Clayton and Lee Novak are currently the Terriers top scorers with 4 goals each. Who else should the Wanderers be wary of on Saturday afternoon? James Vaughan- premiership class, on his way back from injury- all round centre forward and one of the best in the championship imo. Beckford- finisher par excellence.Which Bolton player do you think Simon Grayson will be earmarking as a potential threat to the Huddersfield goal?[/b] Kevin Davies, Mark Davies, Chris Eagles. Definitely not a threat of any kind- benik afobe- hope he plays.
And finally, what do you think the final score will be at the John Smith's Stadium on Saturday?2-1 Town win

Ok coldtripper he has stated to all and sundry that he is on megabucks and loaded and is always out on the ****. That's quite an accusation and if it were true the " always out on the ****" he would be in flagrant breach of club regulations and due a massive reduction in his "megabucks" , where does he say he "rates himself" though?

I don't know why you stick up for him CoddT? The guy flatters to decieve so often. His 'efforts' if you can call them that last year werea joke. Some imporvement this year, in work rate if little else but that has only served to highlight his potential again. A player with ability is almost more annoying than Arfield who's a genuine lad without much ability.

Criticism of his performances i accept, it annoys me though when i read things like "he's not as good as he thinks he is" how the hell does anyone know what he thinks? Unless he's going round telling people 'i'm a great footballer i am' which i doubt, any sign of an attitude like that will be jumped on mercilessly by his team mates i would imagine. As regards going out on the lash if he's doing that during the week it's only a matter of time before someone bubbles him and he will be on the way out. : :

A very fair reponse as usual! Appreciate what you're saying- unfounded or unprovable criticism.
Fwiw he was pretty p***ed after last years awards do but that day I think they're allowed.
Maybe he other poster has seen him out etc.
'Big wages' if true is a concern as imo it creates a disincentive to perform for certain people.
For me, Danny Ward has had more than his fair chances & it's time Scannell had a run in the side.

I was hoping that Scannell would have figured more, whether that's down to injury or form or both i don't know. Let's hope they both start pushing each other and begin to prove their worth, because there's no doubt the talent is in there somewhere.

Huddersfield currently sit in 15th place in the Championship. How has your season been so far?
Class.. (Until the last 4 games.)
Jordan Rhodes left Huddersfield to go to Blackburn in the summer. How much of an impact has his absence had on the team?
When Beckford & Vaughan are both injured it’s a massive impact.
Former Bolton winger Danny Ward is currently at Huddersfield. What do you think of him?
Strong, Fast, Lethal. – But inconsistent
After just one defeat in seven matches under new boss Dougie Freedman, do you think promotion could be a possibility for the Wanderers?
Played 20 – Won 6.. Think Playoffs would be an achievement for you in all fairness
Adam Clayton and Lee Novak are currently the Terriers top scorers with 4 goals each. Who else should the Wanderers be wary of on Saturday afternoon?
Vaughan. Beckford. Norwood. Ward. Clayton. Hunt
Which Bolton player do you think Simon Grayson will be earmarking as a potential threat to the Huddersfield goal?
Davies 1 and 2.
And finally, what do you think the final score will be at the John Smith's Stadium on Saturday?
If we have our ‘strong’ team 3-1 Huddersfield, If we’re missing a few key players 1-1.
