The fact the town website doesn't say the reason suggests to me that Carlisle sent him back.

That's the conclusion I drew too. Sounds like he's not pulled up any trees. I think we'll end up giving him away in the end.

Contracted until end of next season. Similar to Robbie Simpson ie - didn't fit in from start, hardly played - farmed out on loan as much as possible, otherwise not in first team squad - club takes hit on wages and fees when out on loan - released early from contract by mutual consent at further cost to the club
Deano said he allowed Lee Clarke to bring in too many players towards the end, Kallum is clearly one of them.

The new manager clearly didn't like his style of play.

Going off the last couple of games Higgy would do no worse than some who've been wearing the blue and white stripes recently.

Going off the last couple of games Higgy would do no worse than some who've been wearing the blue and white stripes recently. That could be Grayson's thinking. May put him in the squad instead of Arfield, Ward, Hammill. He called Atkinson back and put him straight in the team. I doubt it, but who knows?

Oh dear. Carlisle fans slated him, his performances were crap and he apologised to the Carlisle fans for being crap. But yeah, let's put him in the first team squad

He's approaching last chance saloon - not only at town but elsewhere in his football career.
Only seen him live twice - but saw him on the TV have a right go at MK in the semi as well.
He just looks to have it all when he applies himself - thats what is so frustrating. When he got the ball at Wembley you sat up in your seat hoping he'd do what you know he's capable of.
Up to SG now - but as many have said - I'd put him on the bench for the next 2/3 games and bring him on for the last 20 to see how he does.
But of course it's not just up to SG - it's up to Higgy, he's had enough chances now, time to knuckle down and decide if he wants to be a footballer or another has been playing in the non league.
Last chance saloon.

Last chance saloon. Totally agree Jimmy. I genuinely believe we'd still be in League One without him coming on away at MK. His appearance and good performance changed the game in our favour and got us far enough ahead that we survived the second leg. But he doesn't seem to be able to do it consistently. We'll find out what Simon's going to do soon enough I suppose.

Always liked him thought he was excellent at MK in the first leg of the play-offs, surely worth giving him a chance in the team when Ward and Hammill (send him back please) are in such awful form.

Not sure what the problem is with him, he's always been ok when he played for Town,I'm not sure I ever saw him put in a bad performance for Town.

Maybe a kick up the bottom for DW and the other underperforming wingers

makes you wonder re his attitude the way he was shipped out to barnsly by clarky then sent up to frozen north by SG, then hes back in no time, more to it me thinks..... at least its another option. few comments on their forums summarised as he had very poor form, never did much and their own wingers much better not good then

I think it's safe to say that he obviously has some form of problem. He showed SG his ability in SGs first few matches yet ended up being loaned out by him twice.
You also never get a comment from either team on his reasons for his loan/return.
What made it more curious is that previously we loaned him to a team in the league above (can't think of many times that's happened!) right at the business end of our season. He then played awesome in the playoffs for us, then immediately got loaned out again.
I think it looks like Carlisle have sent him back. I hope dean gets him in his office and has a word about the direction his 'career' is going. (I would expect SG to already have done)
No matter what talent the lad has, if he has issues or problems then if he doesn't help himself then his career is only going one way.
Let's see if he is mature enough to help himself, because it sounds like that's the first step.

So a player who is regarded to be no better than Carlisle's wingers should come back into our squad. deary me.
Higginbotham was a panic buy who had 2 decent games for us, some on here rate him far too highly than what he is, an average League One player. Anyone who has seen him before knows he has some ability, but makes poor decisions and isn't a winger.
There is a reason Rochdale released him and a reason he wasn't training with the first team at the start of the season... attitude.

Must be something to do with his attitude.. he looked to have alot of talent the few times I've seen him play, and as others have said he changed the game at MK. I'd like to see him given another chance, must be better than Ward has been lately.
