Just read this blog from a Cov fan. www.skybluesblog.co.uk/mark-robins-what-have-you-done/Interesting read and it shows we really have got a good manager on his way for someone to be so bitter about him leaving. Yes we would be upset too if a good manager left us after 5 months but there is no loyalty in football and that's that. Some nasty little digs at us in that post too. I have a really good feeling about MR and can imagine him being the manager to take us to the prem! UTT

Makes some valid points, even if he can't spell Lee Clark's name right. Most on here never seemed to manage it either .

It's hardly a surprise though. I refer to this board when LC was linked with the Burnley, Fulham and Leicester jobs.
I would expect a similar reaction if Robins after 5 months in charge here has a 50%+ win ratio and decides to quit for a higher positioned club.
TBF he has done this befiore moving from Rotherham to Barnsley after the monetary compensation contract clause was met.
It might be an idea to not include it in his contract with us should he be appointed of course.

I quite like that and can empathise with the guy - must be gutted. As for the 'digs' at Huddersfield - can't argue with him! While we know the reasons for sacking our managers it must have looked very strange and ruthless from outside and Robins should be aware that he is one bad run away from the same.

I can understand why Coventry fans are upset about this but it hasn't happened yet! I bet they were not as upset as this when Robbie Simpson made the same journey!

Because I get sick to death of other fans belittling our club by saying they are much bigger/better/massive.
Every club at any one time, in my opinion, are only as good as the division they're in and in the case of Coventry a division below us.
That is why I think he's a tosser.

He has no loyalty for sure, and was'nt that one of the criteria Dean was looking for in the next manager?

"Don’t get me wrong. I had nothing against Huddersfield before this. They’re a regular sort of club who’ve barely come into contact with us. But that in itself should tell you something. They’ve barely come into contact with us because they haven’t had a chance to. In the grand scheme of football, we’re still a bigger club than them, regardless of how we swapped leagues last year. Even if you’re looking at potential alone, I’m certain we should hold enough of a draw to fend off approaches from Huddersfield for our manager. No amount of discussion about their finances or trajectory is going to sway me on that one. It’s how I feel."

Certainly gives you a lot more confidence than it would reading if Town had appointed Elvis instead of Robins given the comments of the respective supporters.

You don't think he has a point? First time in my lifetime that we've not been at least one division below them - does that automatically make us a bigger club with more potential? That would mean that, when we were in the bottom league under Jacko, Rushden and Diamonds were a bigger club than us.

They got smaller crowds than us when we were in league one and they were in the championship even though Coventry is quite a bit bigger Huddersfield so wouldn't say they are bigger than us.
