Only 300 left in RW lower. Jarvis also reiterates that the price WILL go up when we reach 15000. If those hanging on think it won't then is it worth the gamble? I wonder if big signings have an effect on SC sales? Just thinking that if town made a big signing that it may put a few hundred or so on.

Their fat arses would fill a few hundred seats

If they haven't bought one by now at £179, why the bloody hell would DH pander to them with a "big" signing that would no doubt blow a massive hole in the chances of building a team? That aside, a couple of hundred getting starry eyed at a bloke splashing a fortune on a marquee signing doesn't make any economic sense.

Maybe we've sold all we're gonna sell You may be right. At the last mention of season tickets at Canalside, it was said 278 season ticket holders still had to renew. It is a possibility that there are genuine reasons why all those have chosen not to or are not able to renew.

I am sure there will always be some who buy just before the season starts and a couple of attractive fixtures early on might help but I feel whatever we have now sold so far is probably more or less what we are going to end up with. If its 14,000 then its still around double last season which to me would be an excellent achievement - low price or not.

Piss poor that we can't sell 15,000 tickets at £179 God bless dean for the £179 truely brave and forward thinking but .... There needs to be a balance of affordable tickets (tick ) and quality fun exciting football on the field to come and see (no tick yet ). I know that's the plan and it's coming but once it does that's when you will get , 16,17, 19 , 20k+ season tickets sold

We have had a trend since we got promoted of falling attendances through three seasons of struggle and a policy of just wanting to survive. Now Dean is trying to go on a different route and hopefully things will start to change. It takes time to build the support base and with decent pay on the day and maybe school promotions most home games we won't be to far off a decent home average.

Piss poor that we can't sell 15,000 tickets at £179 Who says we won't sell 15k? From what I hear that figure has almost been reached with 3 months til the season starts. Piss poor? Compared to what?

Piss poor that we can't sell 15,000 tickets at £179 We will and i suspect already have. But anyway, price is just a way of getting those interested in the club to buy one- it doesn't create more people who are interested. We probably have about 15000 to 16000 people who are interested in a Championship HTFC enough to get a season card. If we lowered it to £100 I doubt we'd sell any more. For a town the size of huddersfield and with this clubs recent history over the past 4 decades ( when lets be honest, weve not really done anything of note ) getting 15-16k to comit to a season card is fine and a good effort. The only thing thats going to increase that interest really is a premier division HTFC. Then we sell however many we have available

Bearing in mind we've finished about 18th the last four seasons on the spin .. I reckon it's pretty amazing

PPP, as Chips said. What will be your response once we hit 15k as we surely will?

Most folk dont seem to realise that the Town ive lived in 50 years.... Is small compared to Bradford a city Leeds massive city centre then surrounding pop of over 1 million Sheffield.... Massive sprawling city and outer areas, can support two clubs, wendys easily get 30 k plus if go to prem, Utd easily get 20 k plus.
Hudders surrounding areas are small.

Would it be shoddy if Man Utd could 'only' sell 110,000 tickets if they fixed them all at £400 ?

Next season is all about building our fanbase, it's not just about the price to watch town it's the effort and giving up what you'd normally do. It's about winning over those who gave up years ago, who have the added challenge of telling their girlfriends/wives and kids that the trips they used to take on a Saturday afternoon won't be happening anymore etc.
We also have a lost generation of young fans who picked their club during dark Div 2/League One years pre Hoyle.
I'd say there's a large section of people in Huddersfield who wouldn't go to watch even if you handed then a ticket for free.

Last I heard we were extremely close to the 15000 number and to be fair that is a significant improvement over recent seasons.
I don't think HTFC get the support they deserve from the people of Huddersfield but it's still a lot of money for some people to come up with and certainly not everyone's number 1 priority.

Huddersfield is not a small town far from it, but we cant compete with the likes of Leeds, Sheffield ect, but other clubs with a simular population to that of Huddersfield get bigger crowds than us and that is down to them being in the Premiership and expanding their fan base.
