Huws looked as sure footed and committed as have seen for a while ,do you think we have a cat in hells chance of him signing ?

On today's performance I would say no, although a decent player he's not worth spending big money on.

At today's Q&A Dean Hoyke made it pretty clear, as things stand, that Huws will not be signed permanently. I guess situations can change though.....

He will go to a bigger club than us in the summer. We won't pay the price Wigan want for him.

No, for 3.5 million which I believe is what Wigan paid for him, too inconsistent.

Thought he had a good un today but think he'll cost too much. Cant see Wigan wanting him back however so prob down to who else comes in for him

Is he any relation to Emyr Huws? The footballer?

Think Huws and Wigan are going to have to be realistic, I don't think the big Championship clubs will be queuing up to sign him, he'll have to take a dip in wages and Wigan will not get their money back on him.

He's quality. He won't be short of offers that's for sure.

Huge pity. However, what Deano tells you at a Q&A, and what might evolve and transpire, are possibly two different things.

I'm not fussed. Too inconsistent for me. Played well today and against hull but it's too little too late. Not fussed for seeing him in August.

Excellent game today, and will only get better as he matures.(Still only 22) Very old head on young shoulders, reads the game well. Wigan paid 2.5m for him, not the 3.5m someone made out.

So that's Hull (played well), Blackburn (played well), Rotherham (wasn't played), Birmingham (played well)... where's the inconsistency?

£1.3m is a figure that would make it a tough decision.
Anything higher is too much.

Shame that, exactly the sort of player we need if we want to push on.

Looks like we might be trying to get better deals from abroad

Looks like we might be trying to get better deals from abroad As much as I rate huws, and would like a deal to have been possible, id be a bit disappointed if wagner couldnt get a similar player for less brass from abroad. Huws is probably as close to a 'typical german player' as anyone at the club in attributes

Can't see anybody paying 3.5 million for him, if we could get him for no more than 2 million I think we should

I also thought he played well today, but suspect we can't afford him. It would be nice to keep him if we could afford him, but we're quite strong in midfield and I would like to see the money spent elsewhere i.e. in defence and another striker.

Agree with Richie. Huws plays with the class and poise of an archetypical German midfielder. Again, where does this £3.5m speculation come from. He was bought from Man City for £2.5m in 2014.

Too expensive, commands too higher wage, can be replaced for less. No we shouldn't push the boat out and neither will we.

Throughout the season he's been a bit hit and miss after a great start here. Would be our record signing if we go for him, not sure he's been that good, just cant see it. QPR nailed on!
