Maybe Wagner feels BIlling can learn a thing or two by watching Huws play. Why not let Billing play and then take him to Old Trafford (or the pub) on Sunday to watch Kante, Drinkwater and Carrick. Im sure he'll benefit from that more than sat on our bench watching Huws

If we are not signing him then why do we continue to play him? Billing should start the last two games and maybe have Booty on the bench as cover. Maybe because we would like to win the games?

It was stated that billing was injured on sat so huws and whitehead was the obvious pairing.

it was a calf strain I think. prob is I don't think whitehead and billing compliment each other that much as both tend to make the same runs/moves and so would need to be huws along side one of those for balance which would take away either from the side or the idea of playing billing over huws

Do you think we didn't TRY to win the game on Saturday? Why play Steer, Davidson, Huws, Paterson or Matmour then against Birmingham if there's half a chance they will not be here next season? With your theory he should have played half the Development team. Maybe he could have dropped Whitehead and Hudson too seeing as they are not the future future.

With the exception of Steer (no other credible alternative) there's at least half a chance the others will be involved next season. Powell missed a golden opportunity last year to blood one or two younger players in the closing games. I hope Wagner doesn't make the same mistake!

Lets make one thing clear wagner knows who is ready to play and who isnt and that includes billing he wont be making any mistakes billing has a long way to go yet but he has a chance and will play when the coach thinks hes needed. Full stop

Billing shows promise but his development will be long term. Our short term needs are to finish the season well to instil confidence in the squad for next season and to make us just that little bit more appealing to prospective signings - 14th looking a lot better than 20th. From what I've seen of him so far, I think Billing is a lot less ready than you do. He'll get his game time next season... there's no rush with him. Why not make use of the more finished player whilst we have the opportunity, especially if it gives us a better chance of achieving our short-term goals? Wagner may, of course, agree with you, and Billing could well play both our remaining games. Whatever he chooses to do will be fine by me.

If the rumours of clubs interested in Billing and we could start a little bidding war, would it be worth selling (with lots of add-ons) if we could bring in Huws, Paterson and a few other solid Championship players?
