Sky Sports News app has an article saying Bournemouth want Oliver Norwood. Apparently, he has been "outstanding for Reading" and allegedly, he can "score, pass and tackle". He hid that well at Town. Also, 3 goals and 8 assists for a man taking all set pieces in 48 appearances isn't amazing. If he plays in the Premier League, his agent is a wizard. Wonder if we've got a sell on?

Ex Man UTD set piece specialist has a certain ring to it. A lot of clubs get mesmerised by overrated ex United players. Sunderland I'm looking at you

Never a premier league player and I would debate if he can actually tackle never saw him get his knees dirty at town was glad when we sold him

Englishmen have done us no good in the past few years Would be nice to keep a core of British players, not much more than half foreign players would be my preference and a good captain (Hudson) to keep the group together. Anybody concerned about how many Englishmen will actually start for us next year - lolley whitehead smith possibly the only 3! What difference does it make? As long as there's no major language barriers (which from the current lot, there wont be at all), then I can't see any issue.

Sent from my SM-G920F using proboards I understand your point of view but think it's a little backwards. Football is a global sport now and we should be embracing it by spotting and signing talent from across the world. This is something we've been a little slow to pick up on in recent years and other teams have surpassed us. I agree it would be nice to see us move up the league with a home-grown or group of English players but the fact is that England has rarely produced any world class players, which says a lot about the general standard of player from this country.

Are there any rule changes planned about non English players I seem to remember that why stones and sterling were valued so highly cos both Chelsea n man city have so little English players

One final point about the foreign imports that are coming this summer is that if I was deano I would seriously keep a limit on the amount of non English players signing and here is why- Wagner gets recruited by a better club or gets off to a shocking be start and gets sacked do you think the next Powell, robins etc will want all these Germans they have no idea about no they will want their own players so 3 or 4 okay but please not 5 6 or 7

If Wagner ever left we'd find someone in the same mould, in fact Wagner would probably help recruit for the role in the same way Webber was recommended by Wilson. We've seen enough to see that we're on the right lines for the next few years at least surely.

I agree it's never ideal for a manager to inherit other managers players but I don't see nationality being an issue here. Ultimately it's about individuals, their character and professionalism (on that note it's good to see we have signed two captains) In fact it will be a plus if some of these lads actually settle in Huddersfield and the local area rather than having a situation like we had recently were half our squad were based in Liverpool!

I couldn't care less where they are from if they push us up the league for too long we have been way behind the rest in looking in foreign markets.

Generally agree, but I suspect we'll still be UK dominant and despite generally hating jingoistic views would prefer so.
