I thought Heaton was a big blade / Milan fan Yep, he's a Blade. Whoops! Got that one wrong. Always assumed he was a Hull City fan after living in Hull and releasing the album 'London 0 Hull 4' with the Housemartins. Cracking album and great band.

Surely the worst ever film has to be 'Plan 9 from Outer Space' by the genius that was Ed Wood Jr.? It is so bad it is actually hilarious... full of continuity errors (at one point it unintentionally switches from day to night in the space of one frame), a ridiculous plot populated with wooden actors and hilarious special effects such as flying saucers that are obviously paper plates. There is even a role in there for Bela Lugosi (his final film) but his 'character' is totally superfluous to the plot and was only included by Wood so that he could market it as a Bela Lugosi film. Lugosi actually died part way through filming anyway but that didn't deter Wood. Instead of re-casting and re-filming he simply used a stand-in who spent the rest of the story with a cloak draped across his face to disguise the fact that he wasn't actually Lugosi. A 'must-watch'. I think it's probably in that weird, slightly vague "so bad it's good" category. I can't decide whether Manos: Hands of Fate is in that category, or just the worst film ever made. That whole saga was chronicled in the movie "Ed Wood" starring Johnny Depp: www.imdb.com/title/tt0109707/I think he might have made 4 of the 5 worst movies ever, but I reckon The Island, as I said above, with Michael Caine is the other one in the top 5 worst. In fact, I seem to recall Michael Caine saying something like "well it bought me another house" as his critique. … and Johnny Depp supports - the Oakland Raiders.

How about settling the "what's the worst film ever" debate via crowd-sourcing? Here's what IMDB users say. Some absolute stinkers on there.

There was a sitcom in the 80's Called Home To Roost. Staring the great John Thaw (The Father). I believe Matthew the Son was played by a Town Fan. If only I could remember his name. ;-) It was Reece Dinsdale. He was the presenter on a 'behind the scenes' video at Leeds Road which I think I have still got somewhere ! Thought he was Shadwell's top boy - skinhead, swastika's & doc martins et all

And I wish John Bishop was too. And David Mellor. Don't bash the Bishop It's more entertaining than trying to understand the high pitched whine that emanates from his mouth Sent from my SM-G900F using proboards

That tw*t who referred our game against Charlton last season. think he might just have been a Charlton fan. I think Elvis Constello is a Tranmere fan and Paul Heaton from the Housemartins supports Hull. I thought Heaton was a big blade / Milan fan I'm sure 442 once did an interview with him and he supported one of the slightly less well known Italian teams for some reason Edit : just found the interview, it was Lecce. But he does say he supports Blades, Inter and Racing Santander. He also said he has a table of who he hates most, 1 Leeds 2 Liverpool. What a guy ;D Sent from my SM-G900F using proboards

I,m told "Ed Wood" is a fictitious name for film directors who classify the films they made as Rubbish {or words to that effect}

Harold Wilson - always cursed Town when he came to watch a game. I always blamed him for turning up at Coventry in '65 and cursing us to a 3-0 win, he should have done the same in the return fixture. I add the bit I always put in these threads to contrast Wilson with today's politicians. George Brown (who was, I think, Home Secretary at the time) has a bit in his autobiography about it. Him and Harold, who was PM, were in Liverpool at some meeting or other. Around 11/12 Harold announced he was off. Brown thought it was a bit early but they packed up and set off. It was only when they got to the ground that Brown realized Harold had planned it all so he to get to watch Town on his way back to London. I was at that game and I think Alan Gilliver got a hat trick. Brilliant.

Would you say Cannon and Ball were less funny than 'Little and Large'? Serious question, I can't decide. Oh and I love Crown Court Ted. None of them was funny. Does that help?

cannon and ball and many others were humorous on first appearance. They then kept appearing, sadly.
Michael Mcintyre and others made fortunes before falling into that trap.. make a mint before people start saying your shit..
I had the pleasure of seeing Lee Evans a couple of times before he 'went off'..
Its over exposure to blame..
