Remember when some Villa fans described our reaction at the end of the draw at Villa Park as tinpot?

Villa looked like promotion certainties in the first half against us. Can't believe they are where they are.

Villa fans, the latest wanting Wagner as their manager. They think all they have to do is throw money at him and he will go.

Villas relational is this:
There top of the league, we will have him. That kid at Bristol City scored a few ,we will sign him. McCormack is most expensive player in league, we should have him.
That's certainly not the Dortmund mentality and I don't see it been a good fit for Wagner. He doesn't strike me as a desperate merry go round manager. If Steve Bruce was still our manager for eg, he would leave for villa before the ink on his contract dried. If they approach Wagner, I honesty think he would say "nah". How fucking sweet would that be. OUR manager 1) getting tapped up because he's good (never happens) and 2) saying no I'm better off here. ๐๐๐๐๐ตโช๏ธ๐ตโช๏ธ๐ตโช๏ธโช๏ธโช๏ธ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐

Huh...where's that video from? That looks like they are playing Watford who are not in our league? And I don't think they are celebrating a corner either.

How has creating an electric atmosphere suddenly become "tinpot"?

The goal-machine that is Jonathan Kodjia (ยฃ14m) has dried up. McCormack (ยฃ12m) and Gestede (ยฃ6m) both started on the bench yesterday.
Wasting money hasn't really helped them, has it? Word is that Di Matteo had two games to save his job, starting yesterday!

Don't get me wrong I dont think he'll go yet but eventually if he keeps doing well someone who can double his wages will get him.

Word is that Di Matteo had two games to save his job, starting yesterday! How are them 3 players a waste of money? They aren't, they are all proven goalscorers. I'm willing to bet that there is absolutely no service to them strikers, for whatever reason, as you're not telling me all them 3 have forgotten how to score goals? Having seen the goals they've conceded yesterday, I'd have said their problems lie at the back and in midfield.

All I'm saying is that they have spent an awful lot of money to cement 19th place in the division.

All I'm saying is that they have spent an awful lot of money to cement 19th place in the division. Well, yeah they have. I'm very surprised that Di Matteo hasn't been able to do anything there, at MK Dons and Chelsea he was very successful, I am genuinely surprised they are struggling so badly under him.

The answer is simple and is not exclusive to the germans, there is more to sucess than money particularly if you have money. The thinking man, of which i include DW & DH, look to achieve more than just increasing wealth (check out US philanthropists). As hitler put it they want a place in the sun. Their 1st big role in a new direction establishes the premise that they are in pursuit of more than just filthy dollars. I could be wrong but the link he has formed with fans and owner along with the promises he must have made to the European players he has recruited will weigh heavier than a shit load of money in the scales of sucess. I really hope im right. In dw we trust!!! Maslow triangle of needs, only lack of intelect stops wealthy people progressing through the various levels. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:MaslowsHierarchyOfNeeds.svg

Regardless of where we finish this season (as long as it's not bottom 3) Wagners stock will be high. We were massively unfancied and still are really yet the performances and results he is producing show he is an exceptional coach and manager. If he stays and gets us up its probably the biggest achievement in this division of the last 10 years imo. He has no reason to leave as Hoyle has built this club around Wagner from players to training to culture to the season tickets. Huddersfield is very much Wagners club now he simply would not get the same freedom or sacrifices at bigger clubs which would probably limit his potential to achieve at those clubs. For that reason I don't think any amount of money would tempt him to another championship club this season.

Aston Villa is a big club but doesnt mean there going to be top of table because of this , Di Matteo prove din past that he is a good manager , problem is that there is more going on at Villa other than the pitch.Untill they resolve this and everyone pulls in same direction then they are gonna be in this division for a few years yet .
On a side note DW wont break any contrcat as he previously stated ,also he is enjoying the project he has going on here , so teams what want him ,dont waste your time and go luck elsewhere

Like Wagner would work there. McCormack and the rest would down tools if they were told to train twice a day. He's building a club here with his signings and his way of doing things. Would be a chuffing catastrophic move for both parties. He needs the right players and time to work with them.

There is no way they would of come to Town without Wagner promising that he is here for the long term or i believe a 2 year project. He is not a man to break his word, thats evident

All this hoo-haa about DW moving for the filthy lucre ... Do you think that wherever he were to go he would get as much influence and support as he is getting at Town? The ENTIRE club revolves around his philosophy, from the schoolboys, through the First Team Squad and the media department, to the supporters. There is no interference - as far as we know - from the 'hierarchy'; indeed, quite the opposite - everyone seems to bend over backwards to accommodate DW in every possible way! As I've already heard whispered in the Corridors of Power, "whatever DW wants, DW gets" Look at the way the pre-match routine has changed; how the Academy has been turned upside down; how the post-match menu/diet on 'away' coach trips has changed (used to be just pizza). He has COMPLETELY overhauled the club. Do you HONESTLY think that he is going to be allowed such freedom and 'power' at any other club? Because I don't.

The time will come when Town can no longer match the ambitions of such a talented young manager as Wagner. That`s a few seasons away as far as I can see. Take the wrong job & your stock as a manager can soon fall & you end up on channel 5 talking shite about Newcastle.

I mentioned earlier to a Villa-supporting mate that Jed Steer (who proved himself a very capable keeper at this level last season in a side that was very much a work-in-progress), must be a bit annoyed that Villa spent a stupid amount of money on the Italian version of Tim Clarke...

If Wagner did leave it would fuck us right up, unless we signed a manager from Dortmund. He's formed a new philosophy in this club and moulded the players
