Our town centre is not very nice, it's tiny aswel To be honest Nick, you are one of the worst on here. for slating and stereotyping whole towns and fans of other clubs as if they were all identical. Fixed

Have to add, if I was a Rochdale fan I'd be a bit miffed that the away stand is the only one with no pillars to block the view, though stewards did try to level it up by lining up on the touchline.

Perhaps if all the glory hunting twats that live in Rochdale supported their local Club instead of fucking off to watch Man Utd or City they would be able to spend money on the ground, money they haven't got. Let's not have a pop at Rochdale, a proper Club with proper fans and a ground with shitloads more character than our soulless structure. I'm not sure how your dislike of our more modern style stadium elevates their's to anything other than a cramped, bog standard, slightly run down, old style, adequate football ground. Nothing wrong with that (it's not their fault they haven't got the support or the investment)... but nothing particularly pleasant about it either. Let's not get too romantic. Give me football at the John Smiths any day of the week. We have some 'proper fans' too, by the way. Some fair points here but let me elaborate re what I meant re proper fans. Kids that live in Oldham, Rochdale, Bury, Stockport and support their local Teams. How difficult is that when they will be surrounded by glory hunting Liverpool and Manchester Club fans all taking the piss out of them on a daily, weekly basis. Many of whom won't even go to the matches because 'they can't get tickets' (that old chestnut). Yet these fans turning up at such as Spotland and probably their Fathers before them who endured the same thing decided to stick with their local Clubs and actually go. It would have been so much easier to just buy their replica 'Chevrolet' shirts and join the masses. Thus that makes them proper football fans in my book.
