Hey ups MT, please can you give us a heads up as to what's out at the moment? Hoping to extend my collection tips and thought you'd be the man to ask! UTT!

Only one set out at the moment, this lot from Nikolai Trading www.huddersfieldtowncards.co.uk/2017.htmlThere's a link on there for buying them direct, but you will also find them on eBay. They are not proper trading cards simply because they are 'home-made' but they're unique in capturing the Play-Off game. Not bad for just over a fiver.

Thanks for that link, my 6 year old will love those cards.

Just a 'heads-up' for all budding card/sticker collectors in here ... I've found what is probably the first 'proper' card or sticker to feature a Town player in some years (since 2012 to be precise) and to be named as such. It is a Panini sticker of Aaron Mooy from their 'ROAD TO 2018 FIFA WORLD CUP RUSSIA' set and is number 442. There is also another one - listed as an 'Adrenalyn XL' sticker/card - which does not specifically name Town as his club, but I've bought one anyway. Individual stickers can be bought on eBay for a quid each which is about the going rate I'm afraid.

Any idea when the premier league one will be out? For the kids obviously Sent from my SM-G920F using proboards As I've said before, the Greedy League stuff will be out around about late Sept/Oct. Publishers - Panini, Topps, et alia - will want to have action photos of the players in their home kit; they will also want to have images of the 'major' players rather than just the squad 'make-weights'. I would expect about fifteen cards or stickers in any given set to feature Town - more if they go overboard and produce cards of things like 'Star Player', 'Wizard Winger', etc. and team-group, manager, stadium, programme design, pies, etc.

What do you do with these stickers? Shove 'em in an album and file it away on a dusty shelf, smug and safe in the knowledge that "I've got it!" It's a collector thing! As you well know, I also scan and publish them on my website to please the masses.

As you well know, I also scan and publish them on my website to please the masses. With the intention of selling them for profit or just keeping them forever? Ahhhh ... no idea really. I've always convinced the missus that it's an investment thing, that these items/collections only go up in value, but then you sometimes find really cheap memorabilia in auctions both proper and eBay. I just keep sinking cash into it in the hope that when I pop my clogs my kids don't just bang the whole damned lot into a car boot for a few quid!

I've been selling off my record collection bit by bit over the last couple of years. Might as well start cashing in now.
If I pop my clogs it will only get sold in bulk to someone who'll do what I'm doing now, breaking it up properly and getting what each record is worth.
To any young uns out there I would seriously consider before collecting anything. As much enjoyment as a collection can give, it is only material property at the end of the day and may end up a bit of a millstone around your neck that may inhibit things like moving house, moving country, moving job etc.

Sad, I know, but I'm up to well over 1500 and even though I might be buying some at seven or eight quid I know that, in the end, my dependents will be lucky to get £1 for each. Music Magpie are a great source for buying but you will get sod all when selling.

Luckily the vinyl market has pretty much gone from strength to strength. I bought a record by The Avalanches in 2000 for less than £20 and sold it last year for £250. Most stuff I sell I'm doubling or trebling up on but then there's Discogs fees, Paypal fees and VAT to take care of. Still got a long way to go, including those dreaded CDs. What sort of music are you into?

Little while back sold some old Topps premier league cards from the mid 70's. About 300 in good nick (you could still smell the bubble gum on them). Made enough via ebay to pay for my season card last season.

What sort of music are you into? Prog and general rock. Generally 70s but right up to modern stuff such as Dream Theater and such like.

Any idea when the premier league one will be out? For the kids obviously Sent from my SM-G920F using proboards Like everything Premier League, they have "official" sticker suppliers, which they have to pay a handsome fee to the PL. I am sure that I have read that in fact it is not Panini but in fact Merlin (aka Topps), who have the licence. Last year the book was released in December, obviously to allow all players get linked to the right clubs after the Transfer Window and has has been said before, all the images in their correct kits
