Yet they couldn't wait to stick the boot in when we completely changed our line up for the last 3 games of the season. Which broke no rules whatsoever.

On Sky's game last night they said Norwich played Crawley in a pre season friendly, behind closed doors, they found some bloke watching. He said he was from Leeds and had permission, he hadn't and was moved.

Well I'm gonna say it.
Maybe Bielsa should have spent more time on the training ground rather than preparing press conferences for a vanity trip.

After Southampton and Newcastle winning today, I've finally let go of the faint hope I had of Town staying up. But, and surely I'm not alone on this,if Leeds miss out on automatic and fuck it up in the playoffs, this season will be not quite as bad.. I'm not obsessed with Leeds by the way.

Firstly my apologies for dredging this up again. Listening to the RL team just now talking about Spygate. Katherine Hannah saying Bielsa is a victim of his own integrity after his press conference this week. Well I don't think he has broken any rules, but not sure you can suggest spying on training grounds shows integrity. All clubs watch games, highlights etc. but closed doors sessions are where clubs will be trying new set pieces etc. It's a totally different ethical scenario to being sat in the stands. Popey mentioned that it's much ado about nothing, then mentioned about clubs in admin breaking rules etc., so people trying to have a dig and unsettle them etc. Someone must have corrected him as later in the conversation he mentioned their points deduction for breaking the rules all those yrs ago, quickly palming off the blame to Bates. I'm pretty sure that incident was another little grubby finger mark on Leeds, as they played the FL and were lucky to get just the 15 points deducted. The official punishment should have been demotion to L2. Noel Whelan just comes across as arrogant in all this. Just another grubby episode in their history really.... there is certainly a chance that this bloke at leeds could over complicate the game?? people like pontus just need pointing and sticking with a cattle prod.. today they had huge possession and have lost... btw, mooching around private property with a bolt cropper normally ends up with the person answering questions to Lily Law?? there is also the slightly unnerving thought that if he admits to all sorts of ungentlemanly conduct once caught, what the fuck is he and leeds up to that they want hidden? it looks like a huge diversionary 'admission' to me...

3 defeats and a win from their last 4, with another defeat in the cup in amongst them.
Don;t know about wheels coming off just yet, but cracks are starting to show for certain.
Seems to follow a familiar pattern with bielsa - great up to the new year but falls away when the new calendars go up. Let it be so.

Apparantly 11 clubs have complained to the EFL about the “spying”. Now I have no axe to grind with Leeds personally so I would just say that an appropriate punishment would be a 15 point deduction for the cheating, dishonourable, slimy bunch of twats. And if they still make the play-offs, deduct as many points as necessary to ensure they finish 7th and miss out on GD by one goal. That seems fair, no?

Quite a lot of analysts are saying that in a game of fine margins, you've got to presume that they will have nicked points from that extra information. So it really doesn't seem unreasonable (not that for one minute I think it will happen) to either dock/transfer points from any marginal games or force them to replay the games.
Of course the media love-in with Leeds is such that they'll probably give them extra points for effort & double the money they pay for their endless televised games.

I have no problem with "spygate". If clubs are foolish enough to train with people watching then fair do's.

Its a but mute isn;t it? It might be underhand and not in the spirit of the game etc, but AFAIK they didn't actually break any rules, so how can they be punished?

Palace got a 25k fine for 1 game a few years back. It would have died away in a week or so. Him doing that press conference has made it stay in the spotlight, and therefore make it worse for them.

Not on that occassion but Bielsa admitted to doing it before every game this season Not all training grounds can be viewed from a public place. This means they must have forced entry at some of the clubs they spied on and also explains why the chap they caught had pliers with him. I'm sure this is something the Football League will be looking at rather than the Derby incident which didn't break any laws

Intent is a word often used in football.
If you show up to an opposition training ground tooled with fence cutters then there's intent there to break the law.

That he's had every team watched in training. Games are different to this, nowt to stop you watching the opposition from the stand if you've paid your admission fee. I believe Bielsa is Argentinian? No need for any further explanation really. S American cheating bastards..
