Bit like the fella who posted
'I'm in Las Vegas and I can't find my brother'
And it was a picture of Eden Hazard on a hotel balcony. Why do idiots post stuff like this on Twitter? It's disgusting.

From the days when International football was the pinnacle. An occasional pleasure and a rare chance to see the great players of Europe and the world.

He retired from football just before I got into it properly but he was always a " name" ... two things I didn't know about him : 1 I knew he had the issues with the eye due to an accident. I never knew he was overtaking someone on a blind bend when he was forced to drive into a bit h due to an oncoming wagon 2 I never knew that he was transfer listed by Leicester and subsequently sold to stoke in 1967, the season after the world cup final. Reason was a young keeper said he would leave if he wasn't given a run in the first team. Youngster was Peter Shilton.. he must have had some bollocks forcing out the world's number one whilst still 18 years old .

Legendary status is all too often handed to players who barely deserve it these days. Banks is a true England legend who was rightly acclaimed as the best keeper in the world after the 1966 World Cup, and who doesn't remember (if you're old enough) that save from Pele's header in the 1970 World cup.
Hopefully this is just a sick hoax, but when he finally does pop his clogs, it will be headline news and deservedly so.

Great example of how quickly bollocks can spread nowadays... How far & wide has this propagated in such a short space of time. I'll even bet Pele was informed...
Hardly surprising we live in such a divided & conspiracy based society...
Facts? Who needs 'em when you've got twitter & Instagram etc...

This is what happens when people get their news from Facebook. Very pleased it's not true but what kind of sick fk makes up such a rumour.

The real scary thing is this kind of fake news is sucked up by those who know no better and ends up affecting election results.

I was going to vote for one of the big 3 in the council by-election in Batley in a couple of weeks, but this fake news has infuriated me so much that I'm going to vote UKIP instead!

The save from a penalty from geoff hurst in a cup tie is often overshadowed by the pele save.. as is one save against Argentina in the quarter final, given it was 1-0 that was a 'momentous' save..
the length of time now since we had proper heroes in an England shirt is pitiful...

The first post should be edited at least.
Anyway: in the 1970/71 season only one player scored more than once against him in a game. That was Frank in the 3-3 Cup tie. Frank could have got a hat-trick but he stopped when clean through thinking the whistle had blown but it hadn't.
