"As for Huddersfield, in the words of Dad's Army's Private Frazer - "we're doomed"." - Thats last week. In an article picking a 'team of the week'. what relevance have these got? Literally a needless comment which he knows will offend Huddersfield fans, it's really little better than trolling (albeit on the pay of the BBC). No other fans will find these comments either witty or insightful Presumably he's still bitter. I'm sure he got a load of stick outside Griffin Park in May 95 after telling some Town fans he wanted Brentford to beat us 😂

Exactly. As annoying as they are I can understand talksport etc employing wind up merchants to generate noise and therefore callers and ad revenue. I can't understand for the life of me why a public funded organisation is doing the same thing with the likes of Crooks and Savage. Arrogance permeates through the vast majority of BBC sport staff and they seem completely unacountable to anyone. Yes we are fairly crap, but given the finances, infastructure and 45 years away its not surprising is it. Yet they'd still rather stick the knife in than praise a well run club for doing their best whilst living within their means. Then you have grade A wankers like Lineker declaring how refreshing it is for a championship team to come up and have a go. They spent £100m+ of chinese money and have an agent engineering vastly underpriced transfers for international footballers you prat! I have noticed a dumbing down on radio 5 this season generally. Constant fake arguments and 'banter' we didn't use to get when say Jimmy Armfield was on. Chris Sutton being a prime example. Deliberate wind up bollocks, Mark Chapman who I used to have respect for, joining in. Its not in the slightest amusing and shows total disrespect to the clubs and fans. I presume the BBC feel they have to follow the whole shit show that is Talk sport to compete. It pisses me off no end, but it is obviously what the majority of people want.
Garth Crooks however has always talked out of his arse and always will. Not worth bothering about.
Heard Sutton yesterday when Kirsty Gallacher mentioned Macclesfield were on a run of 33 games since their last victory. She asked for Macc fans to phone in, Sutton started talking over her, saying Macclesfield haven't got any fans and followed it by saying why would anyone support them anyway.

Maybe, just maybe, because Macclesfield is their local club Chris. Absolute fucking pillock is Sutton.

That idiot is too moronic even for Talk Shite. I hope no one phoned in. Why do we have to have this wind up shite, provocative confrontation? it doesn't make me want to phone in, I just switch off. On the odd occasion I have heard something of that phone in crap I have noticed hardly any one purporting to support a top 6 team or Newcastle has the accent of the area.
I used to like sports report - the music, the classified results, decent reports, and reporters like Pat Murphy. That 'banter' with the reporters is creeping in even here.

His Danny Rose comments are bizarre but his bit in reference to Harry Kane is galling...maybe Wagner should highlight comments like these to the players to help motivate them that bit more. He may well be right but is there any need after seven games of the season!! Harry Kane: I still think Harry looks a little jaded from his exploits in the summer, but two goals and three points against Huddersfield will make him feel a whole lot better. There cannot be a better penalty-taker in the league. He absolutely rattled his spot-kick past Jonas Lossl. However, the harsh truth is that Huddersfield are out of their depth and soon to be out of the league.I saw this comment today, clearly he has not seen anything much of the game, I really hope and believe we stay up just see if this individual has the balls to apologise for such remarks It irks me that my licence fee contributes to the wages of these people albeit in a small way

More bullshit from slugman this week. Apparently Hogg is a defender now, and Sol Bamba gets in Garth's XI for a spectacular goal despite being on the losing side and being generally shite. He has a go at Cardiff for appealing with the ref for Dale Stephens to be sent off because "Cardiff defenders have made bad tackles too": a fair point, but one he hasn't raised before in 30 years. Surprisingly Lewis Dunk isn't in the XI but surprise surprise, he's an option in the "pick your own" thing.
GC must have some right dirt on the BBC Sport production team to have stolen a living for so long.

Yeah... for some reason I had it in my head that he played for Brighton! Think seeing us score in successive games has gone to my head... but then again I'm not being paid by the BBC.

Billing should have been in there also, but two Town players would probably have been too much for some.

personally thought schindler/kongolo/smith dealt with the 'attacking' Wolves players splendidly.. also must applaud the ref for mainly allowing players to win the ball even if it meant the opponent falling over afterwards..

Stan Collymore put Kongolo, Mooy and Billing in his TOTW in his Mirror column.

I find he just puts whoever scored generally .. even in defence or set up a goal.
And it's always populated by the top teams .
