How the fuck can Danny Murphy say ours is not a penalty? Not surprising both Kilbane and Linekar laughed at him.

Also no mention of Lossl's save. If that was De Gea they'd have had a 10 minute montage of it. Getting down so quickly and clawing it back was amazing.

I think Murphy and Hughes have got shepherding mixed up with "hauling down with no attempt to play the ball". Stoke should have had a penalty though - stonewaller that one. On another subject - how come they didn't show Mounie's miss from arguably the best attacking move of the second half? Or his overhead kick?

If that save had been by De Gea they would have cut back to the studio just as Lineker and his cronies were wiping up and putting their dicks away. That save was the save of the season. Bar none.

Slightly disappointed with the result however it probably was a fair result. I thought Stoke (excluding the top 6) were probably the best side to visit us this season. I was expecting route one football but they got it down and played some decent stuff and weren't afraid to have a go.
Only negative is that we need to improve our finishing badly because the game should have been out of sight after half time.

Really good game. Crouch works hard for 37/8. Adam nearly hurt us at the death with a bit of quality. That is game we shouldāve been out of sight in after 55 mins. We had 4 good chances either side of half time and couldnāt bury at least one of them. I fancy Burnley will be tired on Saturday though so every chance of another positive result. Burnley won't be tired. Dyche's teams don't do "tired". They aren't allowed to.

That game was like a throw back to the old days, two teams in their regular kits, both going for it, honest endeavor ..no fisty cuffs,no diving or feigning injury. I enjoyed the match... OK not the most 'skillful' of games, but great entertainment. Town bossed early on, and at times Stoke looked to be falling apart, but after half time they sorted themselves out a bit at the back, brought on a bit of pace and tried to get us on the break.. My post match feeling is we should have had the game sewn up at half time, while Stoke were rocking..fluffed kicks, and poor crosses...not shooting when we could have, passing back instead of slipping it down the channels with Quanar rampant..We need to be more ruthless. I also think if Depoitre had played that first half we'd have been 2 or 3 up by half time...Mounie' looks a total waste of space, poor touch, miskicks, no pace, beaten in the air too often., I struggle to see what he has to offer tbh. reminds me a bit of 'Tracy' Austin....you old 'uns will know what I mean. Wagner should have played him to get the 3 points today and not saved him for Burnley which is a much tougher game...win the games you can..and stoke was one of those. Another well done to the fans ...totally nullified the Stoke fans..who only piped up when they scored.. Enjoyed the afternoon though, despite thinking we should have won it.. Agree with all this, except Mounie. Ive seen enough to know he's a good player, but he is not performing for us, and I have no idea why

I don't think i have ever seen them analyse town at all I don't know if it's possible for you guys over there to stream the NBC feed from here instead of watching MOTD, because they do an outstanding job on covering every game and, as I mentioned on another thread, Rebecca Lowe, the host(ess) babe, seems to have a soft spot for Town, despite being a Palace fan. The two Robbies (Earle and Mustoe) are so knowledgeable too about all the clubs. Sounds like MOTD is just shit.

MOTD is like a zombied relationship. You keep going back to it hoping that it'll be as good as the first few times, but it always disappoints. And this is only halfway through our first season, imagine how Stoke fans feel about it.

case of , if you can't win- make sure you get a point. Really enjoyed the game. Lots of entertainment and 2 contrasting styles- theirs being basically just a hoof up to Crouch in the hope they get the 2nd ball.( copyright Wimbledon circa 1987 ) Their wage bill will dwarf ours, so IMO Stoke fans have every right to expect something better than that. Expect Hughes to say they were comfortably the better side on MOTD and if either team was going to win, it was them. Its just the kind of lying crap he comes out with after every game. Frustrating not to win- we certainly had the chances, but at the same time their hoofball always looked like it could get a goal I didn't think they were that hoofball at all. They got it down and played some nice stuff at times, as did we of course. Joe Allen, whilst not quite "the Welsh Xavi", Shaqiri et al had some real quality on the ball. Slightly disappointing we couldn't kill them off when we were on top, but think a point was just about a fair result. We could've had three, but I was fearing we'd end up with none near the end. Hogg was superb and he was playing some good passes ... it's almost as if we have coaches that work on players' weaknesses and try to improve them, revolutionary I know! Pleased for Ince, well deserved. Schindler is class. Big Col frightens the life out of everyone in the stadium.

During the game i thought ours was a penalty and Stoke's was not, Mooy was brought down and no contact was made with the ball. After watching MOTD i am wrong. Stoke's was definitely a penalty, not sure how the ref did not see it, Mooy's was 50/50, could have been given but if it was against us we would have been livid. Big Col was immense, some of his running direct at players was exceptional, not seen that for a long time at this level. It is not as if he is playing against average players, the guy is taking on established Premier League players and leaving them for dead, 2 and 3 players at a time. Bloody brilliant. Lossl was superb again. Mounie so unlucky with the overhead but should have buried the close range one. Very entertaining game, so happy for Ince. Schindler winning some of the headers against Crouch just shows his class, i was impressed with Crouch and thought his hold up play was very good. Thought Allen was class.

We have outplayed a team full of household names. We are no world-beaters but we can pass it, fight for each other and if we just dared a bit more and shot we are deffo going to be OK. Swansea and West Brom look doomed. Soton at 8/1 to go down looks big too. More confident than i have ever been that we will stay up. Schindler, Mooy, Depoitre and Lossl....top, top players. Cut the back-passes, dont leave Zanka isolated on it, get Palmer back and bloody shoot....otherwise the half-term report is A-....well done and keep working hard.

never in the field of 'getting it wide and getting a two on one, have so many crosses been so f-cking useless'... mounie .. well he saved the big lads legs for most of the game.. different proposition going forward with the big lad on.. half a season in, we gotta look at games like today as wasted opportunities.. if we dont we are going nowhere much.. 2 bookings today, one for us and one for them that were truly monumentally f-cking awful decisions from the ref.. mooy is away the lad brings him down from behind and some 5 yards from the ball.. had to be a penalty.. ince is away, only the keeper the other side, a booking??? its easy with town, if we have had time to think and a couple of touches you can look away, nothing is going to happen..if we shift it quickly with fewer touches then there is a chance.. crouch, even for a big lad uses his forearm quite a lot??? any challenge from behind the opponent is a foul... its better than losing... someone will say we dont have a right to win a game here and its true but today was a game to win.. Stop moaning, jackass. Not sure what's sadder, the post itself or that people actually liked it. Embarrassing.

Thought both should have been awarded! Had we scored from the penalty, the game would have been different! Maybe the ref evened it up , by not awarding the second. Agreed, the match was very enjoyable, but we should have beaten Stoke. Mark Hughes is a pain in the arse, he is , his analysis was deluded, compare that to DW's comments - UTT.

Fair result in the end. Can't complain about the workrate just lacking abit in the final third.
Biggest laugh of the day was the Leeds fan broken down on St Andrews road right on the zebra crossing near the stadium.
Bring on Burnley now.

We really knocked it around well today...a bit more positivity...a shot instead of a dither/pass. A great performance. We were the better team for sure. We have had some luck this season, perhaps we were worth 3 points today but it was not to be. A point it is. I really enjoyed the day and game. On other notes. Why do we give opponents encouragement with time-wasting and back-passing. 41st minute and Lossl just hangs on to it. We are at home, on top and playing Stoke...pathetic. Corners against us...we NEVER EVER leave a player up. Suddenly we leave 3 up!!!! Saw that only once 20 years ago. We then do it again 10 minutes from the end when they get a free-kick! What the hell!!! .... thought the 'leave 3 up at corners -and spread-out!!' was a brilliant idea.... long may it continue!! Played really well yesterday, deserved all three points. Well done Town & great entertainment!!

Well done Town & great entertainment!! You have to be flexible and sometimes radical....you leave 3 up then they have to leave 4 back. Play is stretched and midfield disappears. Lossl gets hold of it and kicks and its a great counter. 10 minutes from the end and Wagner is screaming right across the pitch to Quaner to come in and squeeze up the play. Sometimes players dont get the tactical side right....see the bigger picture.

You could see the confusion in the Stoke team the first time we did it. All their training sessions must have been based around how Town always bring all back for corners. Little things like this give me great hope for the rest of the season that we won't be "found out". DW is good/clever enough to outplay/think many of our rival's managers.
