Small world: I'm a Town fan but born and bred in Bingham (I notice you did a review down at Butt Field this year) and used to play for Keyworth United down at Platt Lane (where it seems you were a coach)! Nice report and very fair observations. Let me know if you ever want to cadge a lift back up to watch the Town! Cheer m'duck Chris

Ha Ha. Small world indeed. Who was the manager of Keyworth when you played for them and what's your surname mate?

Haven't played for KUFC since I was 17/18 but was down there for a few years between what must have been about '97-'01. Was in the same team as Neal Wilkins, Richard Marchbank, Chris Frame, Dale Beech, etc. Good team, great lads!

Funnily enough, I've ended up living just across the Trent and can hear the City Ground crowds if there isn't a clash with Town. Would have been much easier being a Forest fan I tell thee!

Sticky Palms! It's great to see you coming up to Town for a game and writing about it. Hope you enjoyed your day out. I live down in Bridgford and consider myself a part-time groundhopper – your blog's usually one of my go-tos when looking at new East Midlands grounds to visit. Will probably see you about at some point!

Yeah, it wasn't the closest! My old man used to play rugby for Keyworth so I think that that's why I ended up going across when I was looking for a Saturday team. I was already playing on Sundays for Dayncourt in Radcliffe and then Barnstone Colts, so those were a bit closer at least. We did end up going across to East Leake a fair few times! *Edit: And yes, of COURSE I say m'duck! Although only in a semi-ironic way given that I'm under 70 How about yourself?
