While thinking somewhat the same, perhaps he was feeling the effects of his injury a bit and to protect him it was safer to take him off. So perhaps there was a non-laughable reason behind it. Yes, perhaps so but its not something DW mentioned afterwards (I don't think, which normally he does) From what others have said below was not due to injury, so will have to agree was a rather questionable move.

In all honesty you have to give credit to Swansea for sending so well. They were set up to do that anyway but just didn't have an out ball when Ayew got sent off. We will learn and be ready for a similar game next week Next week will not in any way be similar.

Some if the stats from the game are extraordinary. 2nd highest % possession since records began. Most shots in prem this season without scoring. Swansea only 3rd side ever in prem not to have a shot

I'll be honest I thought we were pretty poor . We didn't test the keeper anywhere near enough . Don't be fooled by stats Swansea deserved the point imo Disagree....i thought there was some great movement, passing and particularly ball-control. We hardly ever gave it away. Swansea were clever but no way did they deserve a point. It was a battering but we were simply not incisive enough. We needed a break in the box but it always fell to a Swansea man.

Really dont understand Wagner's logic of taking Pritchard off and leaving Ince on. I've stopped feeling hopeful when he gets the ball now, he always seems to make the wrong decision and his shooting is nowhere to be seen. It just needed a simple 2 yard pass to an unmarked Mounie 8 yards out and we'd be sitting pretty right now. Instead he chose to shoot. Badly. My thoughts exactly, i thought Pritchard would be the one to come up with the piece of quality to win it, i was baffled by his substitution. Ince, while not alone, was guilty of a number of examples of poor decision making at crucial times.

Chelsea must have had 50 crosses they didn't score from!

Let's hope Arsenal, Spurs and Man City get their shooting boots on tomorrow and Watford, Bournemouth and Stoke get hammered.
Just looked at Southampton's remaining fixtures and it's conceivable that they won't get another point! Happy days.

Collectively we were shit today.Simples. Seriously? Seriously? Is that because we didn't score? Surely, football performance is not just measured by the currency of goals. I thought it was frustrating and the second half felt a bit like torture but in no way were we shit. What happened today happens from time to time and some days it doesn't drop for you. Collectively shit today? Bollocks!

Pritchard was annoyed at been taken off which is good because it means he's hungry. It was a strange tactical decision imo. Most creative player we have been subbed off against a Carlos defensive unit. I still hold if we can keep our 1 point a game average over the next 8 games we will of course stay up.
It's interesting how much negativity comes across from commentators, the beeb and some supporters. Swansea are on the same point as town, have spent shitloads more on wages and they've done well and town will see it as points lost. The PL doesn't work like that. It's viewed over sets of games, with an average over the total of games. I get games can be categorised into a b and c for expect to win and Not, but ultimately it's circa 1.05 points per game to stay in the league as an average, maybe slightly less, and we are on target with a very low budget.
Let's keep going to the line. Next week next massive game.

Huddersfield's possession figure of 80.84% in their 0-0 draw with Swansea is the second highest in a Premier League game since 2003-04, after Manchester City's 82.28% against QPR in May 2012. Swansea became only the third side to fail to have a single shot in a Premier League match since the start of the 2003-04 season.
From BBC stats. Impressive...

yeah i agree i cant see palace coming and parking the bus Swansea only parked up because they were down to 10? Think Palace will have a go - but that's to our advantage - they are poor at the back and we will hammer them if they try 4-4-2 which they have been doing lately. Can't see them getting a kick if we play our normal game.
