Good prices those, it's pleasing to see clubs working together for the benefit of the supporters

Nice to see it's only £5 for my 6'2" son. Bargain! That actually works out less than the match by match cost of his season ticket.

Brilliant away day last season, largely due to the result. Also remember several Watford fans on Twitter claiming we were the best fans they’ve ever seen at Vicarage Road.

Wonder if it was at our suggestion or Watford's? Hope we can see more of this. Travelling away is a bit of a ballache these days - traffic and parking invariably sh*8te getting a ticket harder (or it was). The football industry seems slow to recognise that one of the things that makes their product so attractive is the atmosphere in the grounds. Only a fool would suggest atmosphere isn't improved by healthy away support, When the clubs are receiving multi multi millions from TV companies, do they really need to rip off away supporters for generally sh8*te views and facilities (Brighton and to a degree Bournemouth honourable exceptions). However, if Watford stick to their rule about not selling beer in the away end then I'm afraid they'll quickly revert back to "Two Hat" status.

Still think one of our finest recent hours as away fans was Fulham when they beat us 5-0. We still made far more noise than the cockerneys all game

Only 1+ priority point required as of this evening. What looks like a very tough fixture will be a turning point for both clubs with Town winning in style. 😎

Unfortunately that stand was built in the mid 90s for home fans originally (so before we had any kind of Premier league money) but when the big Rookery Stand was built they moved the home support and its always been half and half since. Apparently we haven't got the legal requirements in terms of space or toilets to sell alcohol in that stand. I am sure if we could improvements could be made as has happened to the rest of the ground. We've only just got rid of the East stand that had been there since the 30s!

Thanks for the background Mark & confirmation that last year wasn't a one off (although I would have sworn I've had a beer in there on previous visits - it's hard watching Town without alcohol in your bloodsteam sometimes - anyone else remember?). Do you sell beer in the other half? TBF I'd have thought the concourse was bigger than quite a few (e.g. Everton, Burnley, Bournemouth, Liverpool, Manchester U, Crystal Palace (to name some in the PL off the top of my head)). Smells a fishy to me TBH. If someone is giving you £100 million for being in a league couldn't you at least ensure a customer can buy a beer?

Not sure - the other half is the family area so probably not!
Been the case for a long time before we got promoted but I guess they could control it to make sure anything untoward happens like warnings about lack of faciltities.
Of course if you got us in the FA Cup you'd have the whole stand....and we've had teams like Leeds and Newcastle taking up that option in recenet season.

Never really understood why anyone would want to buy massively over priced gnats piss in any football ground. Some of the kids have got the right idea though, buy it and then just chuck it around

Team have flown down.
Surely it's as quick to go down by road, by the time you've arsed about getting to and from airports???

Team have flown down. Surely it's as quick to go down by road, by the time you've arsed about getting to and from airports??? Think it's probably the comfort aspect of it. A 3 hour coach journey is a bit uncomfortable, tiring and there is a potential for getting stuck in traffic. We need all the help we can get. Although that flight must take about 20 minutes, you're right, it's the transfer that will take longer.

Don't blame Town for avoiding the M1..it's horrendous and the new 4th lane has served only to provide lorries with 3 lanes and cars still only have one to themselves...add in the fact the road surface is now shite, uneven, lumpy...shocking in fact...then you have the gantries with cameras on every one...so cars accelerate between them then slow down for the cameras...(I'm going off topic now I know) - Going further off topic, saw a young geezer in a white roller with red top, reg no 800...accompanied by another young geezer in a yellow/amber Maserati .. cruising at 69 mph so everyone could have a look at them

Does seem strange though. All that farting around to get to and from vs just sucking it up and going via a luxury coach.
I'm guessing this avoids an overnight stay though, so maybe the players prefer this option and cost wise they're hardly going to be going first class on a short hop flight like that.
Still find it difficult to compute though, must be my age...

I'm just firing up the helicopter. Do you think they will mind if I land on the pitch?
