I seem to recall him saying some "opposition manager is a bit clumsy" things while he was at MK Dons, which got the expected heckles raised, but no more than that. Not like Steve Claridge. So nothing for 8 years? Tbh he seems to me he thinks we treated his son well, gave him a chance and allowed him to go and get more football. I haven't seen any bitterness. Pretty much, yeah. It is, as you say, one of those accepted truths despite having little actual truth to it.

Hes alright, I did dislike him when he was a manager.

Apologies if asked elsewhere but I’ve been watching Town for 40 years, can anybody name a more complete all round performance than Sunday (relative to the standard of opposition) ? Because I can’t My first game was Reading at home in 1976 so ignore years before then Sunday was stupendous !!!

I really enjoyed the game but still feel there is more to come from this team - An in form Mounie or Depoitre leading the line would have made Sunday's win far more comprehensive. The effort and desire was absolutely top drawer as it has been since Fulham but our attacking play while good, was far from fluent and dominant! Hopefully the Brighton game will be better

Think Wolves will struggle come end of the season, their fans seem to have a Sheffield Wednesday attitude of entitlement that often comes back to bite. Their fans also seem to get on the teams backs when it gets tough, was a lot of booing and moaning and watching a few fan vlogs a lot of negativity from the crowd just because they are losing 1-0 to another Premier League team, then a mass exodus at 2-0. Think they need to realise this season is about survival for them and not to get ahead of theirselves.
I'm not going to be fickle and say no town fans moan but the first 10 games we had no wins and the home atmosphere was still amazing, as was the away support.

I thought wolves might have a similar season to ours last time and so far its played out thst way. Some results beyond expectation early on but then later games that show if you are not on it 100% you will get picked off and the points become fewer and far between. I think anywhere above 15th will be a good finish for them but some of their fans wont be happy. Reality check time.

To be fair it must be difficult for them, they walked the Championship, it’s easy to get into the habit of expectation.
Our rise was somewhat different in that we had a season of getting used to watching Wagners ideas but not having the players to effectively execute it...so we learned the game, and then our promotion season we were pretty awesome from the off but made harder work of things as the season progressed, the resultant promotion *was* the mythical he44ing dream, so immediately removing any sense of over expectation that might come from a Wolves type “promotion at a canter” season.
We’ve been very lucky how things have panned out last few years with Wagner. I think it was Lee Clark who originally suggested we shouldn’t get too carried away with victory and too downbeat about defeats, and concentrate on the game ahead. Unfortunately he didn’t really live that ethos where Wagner actually does.
We’ve become “better” supporters through this period and come to appreciate losing whilst trying to play in the right manner...and have picked up a real appetite for celebrating the victories in the moment but then starting the hard work again at the next game....on and off the pitch. We worry about what we can effect as Wagner says, and there’s no point worrying about being bottom of the table, you’ve just got to go out play the games doing what you think is right and hopefully that will return the maximum points we’re realistically capable of/expected to...whilst losing 3 or 4 on the trot at times.
It’s a great position to be in...and it’s why everyone talks about Hughes or previously the Fulham manager having their necks on the block, whereas we are a stable club which must make things easier despite the precarious position in the league. I have a pal who supports Bradford and the state of his footballing mind at the foot of League 1 is the complete opposite of a typical Town fan. They have no identity, no affinity with the squad or the manager, it’s chaos.

Hopefully the Brighton game will be better I thought Mounie looked back to his best on sunday, he played really, really well all over the pitch. A couple of blocks stopped him getting on the scoresheet but I can't think that he lost an aerial fuel and his shots weren't wasteful, just saved/defended.

Just a brilliant away performance that. We looked every inch a premier league team & we were well in control. Our midfield trio absolutely dominated which will always give you a good platform to work from. Tactical masterclass from Wagner 👌 ^^^ This. Went to the game with my mate. Both first saw Town mid 60's. We asked how many times we had seen a Town team and thought "that's a relegation team" Plenty of times. Does this team look like a relegation team-They are miles away from that. Keep the faith.

Leeds just sold 4550 tickets for Bolton in just 14mins!! Size of scumsville compared to size of Huddersfield you’d need to sell at least 3 times that many to compete with us! Shows how shite you are, nowt else 😎

He missed a great chance 2nd half when he leant back and sliced it well wide and high, and there was another where he ball sat up nicely for him but he decided to take it away from goal rather than hit it. We need one of our strikers to get some confidence in front of goal from somewhere pretty quickly.

Leeds just sold 4550 tickets for Bolton in just 14mins!! I think you're actually a Town fan pretending to be a Leeds fan. Not even the most deluded Leeds fan would pipe up on a Premier League team's main forum to boast about selling tickets for a lower league away game. Excellent work

The clearest case of wind up merchantry we've had here for quite a while. Perhaps people enjoy interacting with this buffoon. Certainly no one has submitted a report yet.

It's this time of the year when the Leeds fans usually slither back under their rocks anyway. Let him stay. Not quite yet - they will cream over signing Tom Heaton, Phil Foden, Danny Drinkwater and maybe Solanke on loan in January. 10.59pm on January 31st they will sign James Hanson on a short term deal and then as sure as night follows day they will slip to 8th/9th in the Championship - and next year will be the year. (Please note in case anyone on here knows him I dont mean to personally insult James Hanson). If Carlsberg did January transfer windows......
