Well, we're almost there again. Saturday = Big, big game.
I doubt whether Neil Warnock will be having any fond memories of leading Town out at Wembley all those years ago, much more like he's planning the most effective way of giving us the "coup de grace".
Different times I know, but after their 3-2 win in Cardiff a couple of years back, didn't he announce that he was very pleased to see that we'd set up with a back 3, and felt confident about beating us. Think I haven't misremembered that.
Anyway, thoughts for tomorrow?
Back 3 again?
Here's a song that Wagner should be playing before the team gets on the pitch:

We've given everyone enough of a headstart now. Time to start playing properly, like letting our strikers score!

Cardiff are crap at the back but compensate for that by attacking with pace and power; they concede but they also score. Unfortunately we have no threat up front so cannot take advantage of their major weakness whilst we are increasingly brittle at the back so I expect our defence to eventually buckle and cave in.

Only while Zanka is there. The man marks fresh air in the defensive zone. Our strongest defensive performance was when Zanka was out and Tommy Smith played.

Lauro's prediction.... 2-0 Cardiff. Sadly agree with this. Struggle to see where our next goal or point is coming from never mind win. Although not mathematically relegated after tomorrow, we will effectively be down if we lose.

Agree, sort of a more agricultural version of Bournemouth. But you need to get at their defense and make it count and that's our problem in a nutshell.

We cannot play 1 up front against a relegation rival again this season.
It would be absolutely unacceptable.
I want Wagner in his role until seasons end no matter what happens, but I'd call that the decision of a man who's cracked under the pressure and needs a break. We have to punch our way out of this corner. We can't defend our way to the wins we need.

I'm over in Cape Verde & can't see it on live here. Looks like I'll be using trusty Hesgoal & watching it on my phone. Atleased I can watch it down at the pool.
I don't care about performance we just need to grind out a win by any means possible.

Lossl Durm Schindler Zanka Kongolo Hogg Billing Pritchard Mbenza Mounie Puncheon
Hamer Stankovic Lowe Bacuna Kachunga Diakhaby De Poitre
Starting to look a bit threadbare with Mooy,Smith,Williams,Sabiri,Sohbi,VLP and Quaner out of the picture.Let's hope Flo finds a new home in January too.

Fill the team with pace. They must have the slowest centre backs in Premier League history.
No doubt we'll play one up front, attack slowly down the wings then cross it straight onto Morrison's head for 90 minutes though 😬

Really can't see Cardiff outplaying us, even if we are having a bad run and enduring defeat after defeat and, hence, negative momentum in terms of results.
Much more likely is that Warnock will understand the kind of pressure Wagner is under, and act in accordance with a man who knows his team isn't better in terms of technical ability. In the face of our never-ending fighting morale, he will know that a collective collapse of the Huddersfield Town team can only entail a bit of shifty-eyed provocation. We do have a couple of players who are apt to react to this, so it's vitally important that we keep our cool.
Got a feeling we can keep our composure tomorrow, and the red cards will be on Cardiff's side - for they are under pressure, too, and will get frustrated when faced with Town's coolness - and will suffer defeat as a result. Will honestly be very, very surprised if this doesn't happen.
Town to win 2-1. Defying all the odds!!

Back to 3 at back tomorrow I reckon. Which to be fair is how we’ve played our best football.
Lossl Zanka. Schindler. Kongolo Durm. Puncheon. Hogg. Billing. Lowe. Pritchard Mounie.

No chance lol.
