Hudson got to be joking, pound shop option yet again. I wouldnt spend my hard earned money ever again if thats the limit of Towns ambition. Relegation be a certainty and downhill from there, be even bigger laughing stock. We were paying wagner near on 100k a week... poundshop option ok

How about we have a manager who will guarantee that we play decent football, even if we lose more than we win.
Could do worse than Tony Mowbray

I think first and foremost we will be looking for a coach that fits the identity of our club and not a name. Dean Hoyle has said this in the past and see no reason for his thinking to change. Bearing that in mind I would expect someone again we may not have heard of, but fits our style of play with a few minor tweaks to get a better goals per game ratio! with wagner gone the style of play absolutely has to go too

Couple of names to consider may be.... Mark Warburton or even a real wild card up and coming...... Danny Cowley. Solid and steady and young flair! Not keen on Warburton but mentioned the Cowley Bros in a thread a couple of weeks back as possible replacements if DW were to go. Would certainly be another leftfield appointment, perhaps too much so? No experience at this level or the one below though & would have concerns they could attract the right players & would command respect from those already here. Butt/Scholes/Arteta all worth considering & would definitely have the contacts. Lincoln are playing terrible football this season apparently.

Ryan Giggs and a former Manchester U team mate! I hope you're joking? Leave his country that he loves, even turning down playing for England, to manage us. Delusional would be a nice word

I think DH has clearly already identified the next guy much like he did with Wagner, way before he sacked Powell and Wagner was announced more or less straight after a single match with a caretaker, plus a free weekend before the next match - This time we also have a free weekend due to the FA Cup but we return midweek against Everton on the 29th.

They're not Cowdenbeath This is a team with an actual decent squad, one that put England to shame at the Euros and building on what Gary Speed left off. How can he see talent for Wales around the world, if he's managing in the demands of English football? Come on now. He will not leave that post, unless it's for United.

Don't think we've had a manager with only 1 arm before?

Also I'd just like to personally thank Sam Allardyce for saying he's not interested in the job.

The king is dead ..... Long live the king - Thankfully our kingmaker has his finger on the pulse as always! Dean said long ago that they had already looked at succession planning and that it would be remiss to not when building a long term legacy. I think he even said then that Wagner was heavily involved in it.

I'm sure once Wagner informed DH that he needed to take a break the replacement process swung into full action and the imminent appointment on Sunday will be the culmination of that process. It's a vitally important one that I hope is as successful as the last.

Ihave no idea what Mark Hudson is like, other than that I heard that he was an excellent captain, respected by the players. Not guaranteed to transfer to management, but a start. Interesting times. Sounds like it would be complicated with Hudson.. Mark Hudson is still involved in the club and has held the position of under-23s manager since his retirement in 2017. The former defender possesses a UEFA A licence. However, he doesn't hold a UEFA Pro Licence, which is mandatory for managing full-time in the Premier League. He does though take charge of their game against Manchester City on a caretaker basis. It's worth noting though that an A licence does allow someone to take charge of clubs in the second-tier. He could hold the role for up to 12 weeks, and the rules of the market state that 'caretaker and interim managers completing at least ten competitive games will be deemed the permanent manager.' Ten games will take him up to Crystal Palace away at the end of March, which is within that allowed caretaker period.

Win, lose or draw can we play some entertaining fast paced football, preferably with some goals thrown in for a change.

I would have him, but so would a few others and I think long term I know his destination is going to end up at United full time
