If this had happened 10 days ago I’d have suggested Nathan Jones at Luton. Like Farke at Norwich but why would he leave there? Can’t think of anyone, to be honest. Suspect Mark Hudson will be given a couple of months; if he does well then great, give him the job, if not, bring in the new guy before season end.

Think I could with the money he has and there only being 2 teams in Scotland! I know, I get the shit league argument but they haven't challenged Celtic for about 3000 years and he's doing it in his first season. He might be one to watch. 3000 years a slight exaggeration it is 8 in fact.

Arteta - surely he wants a crack at being a number one by now? No better place to start then at Town.

DH at one of his recent Q&A’s said that he now knows what a good manager looks like and that there is a plan in place for when DW goes. He’s now gone, so hopefully the plan is being put in place.
Personally I think DH will pull another rabbit out of the hat and do something a little different. No way will he employ one of the Merry-go-round managers; it’s not his style. We could be developing the new Liverpool boot room and give the job to someone within like Mark Hudson.
Got to admit, I’m absolutely gutted tonight and feel really flat; I think too much poor luck and lack of goals sapped the energy and spark out of him.

Wagner back for the start of next season. You heard it here first. I was just upstairs having a piss, tears almost streaming down my face. I noticed the names of Monk and Hughes bandied about, and thought you know what, tell DW to have the rest of the season off it doesn't matter, get in Hudson and oh I don't know anyone to see out the campaign, then get Wagner back in to prepare for 2019-2020! Believe it or not, there could well be a sting in the tail, seems logical to have time out, and come back refreshed, outside the box and all that. I really hope the merry go round of managers come nowhere near our club.

I’m not totally sure who I want next but I do know who I don’t want & the list includes Pardew, Rowett, Carvalho and any other jobbing manager you’d care to mention.

If man utd get a new boss what about the baby faced assassin. I know Cardiff was a disaster but so were Cardiff as a club. He's got more experience now with molde and now utd. Better than some names from the merry go round

First question is whether the club wants to stick with "terrier identity"-If so then presumably Mark Hudson will be on the shortlist.

Imagine the feel good factor if Mark Hudson managed us til the season ends, then it was announced DW was coming back

I've read all the names on this thread and the odds quoted on Sky bet (Big Sam 11/8 on there) and the only flicker of excitement I had when names not recently associated with Town were mentioned was Nigel Pearson (& I can understand why those with no connections to the East Midlands wouldn't share that view).
Mark Hudson seems a decent option but TBF a massive gamble.
The option that stood out like a mile to me from this thread was Wagner after four months rest.

Don’t want any of the merry go round managers would rather have Hudson Whitehead before any of names mentioned UTT Team talk would be easy. “Leave nothing on the pitch, or see my assistant after the game. See you in 45...”

let's go for Bielsa and fuck their season up. You know we'd 100% be deducted points if he spied on anyone though

AbFS Anyone but Fat Sam Don't want him, but don't want the old stagers either in the Parew or Pulis mould. I we can't have a refreshed DW next season - sure that's not really likely - then let's go for another left-field appointment.

Pearson isn't right in the head. Bust up with Derby owner within a year of taking over after the Leicester debacle. Currently in wilderness of Belgian League. He can stay there for me.

You would presume we have someone lined up if Wagner had already basically given his notice and we were looking to the summer.
Also Hudson only names as caretaker for the man city clash suggests someone else will be In position maybe as soon as this week.

Bit of a tough sell considering the nailed on relegation. Would imagine we’ll get someone in from Germany but I think we’ll struggle to get someone in that’s in a job now, which really limits our options. I don't think it's that tough a sell. Any prospective manager will know they will be backed. They'll see the investment that has gone on in the club. They'll know about the great fans. And they'll hopefully relish the chance to build a side to come straight back up. To me, those things would attract the right kind of manager.

We need to evolve in order to thrive. Hudson may offer something Wagner couldnt. I'd rather we went for Jokanovic but whatever happens I want to enjoy going to watch town again. It's been a tough old slog the last year or so.
