I think I'd do nearly anything if it would get David to change his mind and come back to Huddersfield.
3 Amazing years and virtually all fans still love him. He is a top-line elite manager, I cannot see where we get anyone better?
The club has been totally changed. Come back David, the best thing ever to happen to town in my lifetime.

Let the poor guy go.
He’s stressed out and needs a break.
Did a good job but towards the end he was out of ideas and frustrated.

He was a key part of a team of people, from the chairman down to the fans, who collectively achieved great things.
But.
He did not do it all by himself, so we can we please reign in the unwarranted adulation for the guy.
He was the right man at the right time. He'll go down as the greatest manager that most fans have witnessed thus far, and we should all be extremely grateful that he came to us when he did, but his time for us had passed.

It’s a collective and a CLUB. He didn’t do it alone!!! He is a legend and always will be but he has made his decision and now it’s tims to look forwards....

It's getting a bit worrying is all this. Grown men weeping and wailing for a football manager, emotionally bereft blokes teetering on the brink. Come on for goodness sake, pull yourselves together.

His resignation is all about protecting himself and his reputation. As he goes at this stage he will be a very attractive proposition for the bigger championship clubs next season and a multi million pound contract, another 10 defeats and those opportunities would dry up. Expect him to turn up at a Wednesday / Forest / WBA or one of the relegated sides. Sadly he has moved on and we need to find a good calibration manager to replace him.

"The best thing to happen to town" in anybodies lifetime is Dean Hoyle btw. Rescued the club from eternal financial bloodletting under Davy, and dragged us up from the bowels of League 1 to the Premier League.
Lets stick to the facts eh?

Seeing that he left in January, officially he should be invited to the Christmas party.

I don't think that's an accurate representation of what people are feeling. It's more a case of moving from a stable and largely hugely successful period to a position of significant uncertainty. Not that I think going back is ever the answer in life but I can understand why people want to return to what they were comfortable with. DW has left through the front door with his legacy assured for generations. I can understand people who are now concerned if we are heading in a downward direction and would prefer someone who they trusted was still here. It's been a tumultuous few days with no current idea what the outcome will be.

I'm excited to see how the club evolves now. Realistically, we're looking to next season in the championship and I genuinely believe that our prospects are better without Wagner than with him.

The form of the past 6 weeks is that, form, there's a much bigger picture which is currently far from clear. DW is the past for sure, but what happens next is not currently clear enough to form an opinion on. Interesting times...

You'll have far far worse than this happen in your lifetime. You may already have? All been said above, crack on, watch DW with interest from afar, but the focus for us should now be supporting the next chapter... Looking forward to Sunday and hopefully giving Man C plc a decent game...

Hoyle is by far the most important person in the recent history of this football club. It will be a far sadder day when, or if, he has to stand aside.

I was really sad when David decided to go rest and recuperate but looking at him it's what was needed.
He will always have a very special place in Town fans hearts and heads.
He will always be assured of the warmest of welcomes should he ever pop in and watch a game.
He will always be remembered for what along with the wonderful backing of Dean Hoyle and his staff for what he achieved.
He will go down in history at this wonderful club of ours .
Now though let's just move on give whoever becomes our manager the same support that we gave David.
As for Sunday come Mark Hudson and best of luck let's hope we give them a game .

If he’d played mbenza instead of Lowe against Newcastle he’d still be here.

Dry your eyes mate, I know it's hard to take but her mind has been made up. There's plenty more fish in the sea. Dry your eyes mate, I know you want to make her see how much this pain hurts, but you've got to walk away now. It's over.
