Wow! Looks like he's going for it. Good on him!
Looks to me like an intended 4-2-3-1 that could revert very quickly to an attacking 4-3-3:
--------------------Lössl
Smith--------Schindler---Kongolo-----Löwe
----------Hogg-----------Bacuna
Kachunga-------Puncheon-------Mbenza
------------------Diakhaby
Like it!! UTT

Billing actually injured or ready to be sold? That midfield will be torn to shreds. Bacuna is lost defensively. Nice to see something a bit different up front though. In fairness the midfield could be torn to shreds if we had fabregas and Hamsik against this lot

If nothing else that team tells you want Hudson thought of Wagners tactics.

Bacuna will get ripped apart by Sane Unless Bacuna is playing right-back, I doubt it.

At least it's something different. About time We saw changes. Actually excited by that line up. Still likely to lose but good to see us being positive and offensive

I don't care if we ship goals as long as there is a danger of us scoring some.

Well that's definitely some big decisions from Hudson, clearly showing way less fear than Wagner did.
Considering this is against Man City this could be a huge statement and could either justify Wagner's decisions or really show him up. Changing the formation and dropping regulars like Zanka, Mounie, and Pritchard while Mbenza and Diakhaby come straight in to start is quite a call to make.

There's no pressure on them.

If nothing else that team tells you want Hudson thought of Wagners tactics. Why? Maybe it's just realising that it's a fresh start to appease some of the fan base? Or maybe a nod to the early days of DW? Probably not the best game to judge how successful this is. Even if we win... I'm hoping for a great day, have a strange feeling about this one. Hope I'm right... UTT!!!!

I think Hudson is trying to follow a Liverpool style set up with the 4-3-3. The Liverpool midfield get flack for not contributing goals but are there mainly to break down play and then unleash Salah, Mane and Firmino. That set us has until the other week worked well for Liverpool against City and even then they only went down 2-1.
Obviously, Kachunga, Mbenza and Diakhaby are not Salah, Mane and Firmino but I can see what Hudson could be thinking. If we sit back and invite them on and they’ll come on to us in numbers and still play through us. However, give them something to think about with players breaking at pace and it could give them something to think about and possibly, just possibly, we can upset them.
One thing is for certain, it’s going to be a lot different to watching the team over recent weeks.

Hudson was a really good CB who played at a high level. He will have seen the defenders and the quality of them, he will know who he would want alongside him in defence.
I don't think it's any surprise that Flo & Zanka have been dropped.

Also like the fact there's no mounie or depoitre. 1 goal between them all season and they were still getting picked.
