I was in “corporate” today and we hung around for a while afterwards waiting for the traffic to clear. The unused subs did their warm-down as I expected, but they were joined by Mooy, Sabiri and a couple of younger lads who may have been from the youth teams. Good news is that Mooy joined in with all the exercises and the keep-ball games and looked to be moving runnIng and turning well. Hopefully not too long before he is in contention.

The only player I class as premier league quality. How we gave missed him.

Been a huge miss for us. I've never been one to agree with the one man makes a team thesis, but this bloke comes close. I'm sure some will state some stats about our win ratio with him in the team, but without him we struggle even more.
Hope he's back for Everton... Would be a massive boost for everyone.

I honestly feel we might just be able to keep him, he seems a genuine lad who loves it at Town and has said so many times. Doesn't strike me as the type motivated by money or fame.. Here's hoping!!

Schindler won't go, unless he (and some of the other germans) see Wagner leaving as the end of an era and want to go back to Germany. Schindler hasnt been anywhere near as good as he was last season and will be 29 soon so he isnt going to get any better. Don't see a big clamour from Premier League teams for him given those circumstances. Billing, Mooy and Kongolo are the ones that will attract premier league interest. Don't see it for anyone else. A few more could sulk and try to force moves but i dont see a queue forming.

I feared that myself with the German players but hopefully with us likely to announce another German coach that won't be a problem. Much the same with Mooy, sometimes forget he's 28 so that's in our favor too. I reckon we'll lose Billing, Kongolo & Durm (only contracted till end of the season) for certain, possibly Zanka too.

I doubt he would have ever forced a move to a similar or mid table premier league team, But he is ambitious, despite his meek and mild ways. I think he would do the right thing and when we are in the championship he will give us his all, but if a premier league move came along, he would express his wish to take it, but doubt he would chase one.

Oggy on Radio Leeds after the game mentioned Mooy was out on the pitch so it didn't look like he was too far off returning.

We have an option on Durm, so he cant or might not leave for free. Potentially we could lose.... Lossl, Durm, Zanka, Kongolo, Billing, Mooy, Depoitre (out of contract) I think the rest would probably stay as there wouldn't be many takers. 5 +2.5 + 8 + 15 + 20 + 20 + 0 = 70m I think 70 million for them would be optimistic, but it would leave a decent war chest and a decent amount of wages to have a go at replacing them with sufficient quality in the championship.

Yup seems like a great character and down to earth but like you say he is ambitious, hoping Dean can turn on the charm and have him agree to give us one more season in the champ. If we're not challenging in January agree he can go if we get a decent fee but if we are he stays to help the promotion push and goes in the summer if we don't make it. Mooy can make all the difference, no way he'd have been promoted and stayed up without him. The good thing is he's Australia's best player no matter what league we're on so it wont harm his international ambitions.

Hopefully if this becomes the case we can look to do the same as other clubs have done in the past and loaned out their top players in the hope of making it back to the Premier League again.

Can the Australian national team stop him from playing as he would have been on international due if not injured?

Really? Optimistic? 8m for a danish international, voted danish player of the year? Were you thinking 10-15?

With two more years on the clock and not playing particularly well I think we'd do alright just to get the £3.5m back that we paid.

Can the Australian national team stop him from playing as he would have been on international due if not injured? They sent their own doctor over to run the rule over him as far as I'm aware, and opted not to include him in there squad.

Can the Australian national team stop him from playing as he would have been on international due if not injured? Should we be more worried about them progressing to the later stages of the cup and calling him up because he's back to fitness?
