Apprehensive at first with this appointment thought it might be a hopeful punt at getting what we got with DW, however as usual Deano has allayed all my fears with that statement of JS being on the radar for years.... never should have doubted it. A week off now to get a lot of work done on the training pitch and looking forward to starting the great escape against the Everton! In a way it worries me more though that he's been on our radar for years. So we had thought of him as a replacement when in the championship, were now in a much better place, better team, higher profile, much bigger budget and we still go for him. Good luck to him though and hopefully he does well, just hope he has a half decent run in now to end of the season and give everyone a bit of a boost going in to the championship. If he has a dire run in then I don't think people will give him a lot of time to get things right next season. After all he's only coming from that minor league club Borussia Dortmund..... who did you have in mind Klopp?

That little video is Town all over...can you imagine Man United doing that? I would rather be in the Champs and supporting a real club than up there with all the tosspots. With or without Billing?

It’s made my day tbh. My lad went to Martin house after he died, spent 3 weeks in a refrigerated bedroom. They read him stories at night, put him in PJ’s, dressed him in a morning, opened his curtains, let me hold him in the private gardens a couple of times.... £300k a month to run that place I was told and it’s all charity funded. Money for war etc etc. Priceless house, fair play to Martin, fair play to Town, fair play to Jan. Oh and good luck Jan. Must have been such a hard time Ben - just logged on and donated $100 on the back of your story and the Town video, thought it was great. One of the most wonderful places ever .Some of the babies, children and their families that I nursed where cared for there with love a d great dedication. Here now in Huddersfield we are fortunate to have our very own Forget Me Not children's hospice. Marin House though will always be a place I hold close in my heart

Maybe one of the worst kept secret in football ever ",AND LIKE I MENTIONED ON HERE LAST WEEK" it would not surprise me if a done deal had been done months ago with Wagners backing
Just a case of being brought in early instead at the end of the season

Disagree, think it’s class that we do silly little things like this, keeps us real! No, you're right, I hadn't seen who this guy Martin is and what he does. Thought he was just some random fan. Brilliant cause and hopefully his organisation will benefit from it all. Though someone from Wakey should really be a Town or Ossett fan... what's he doing supporting Dubai City?

You would just spend it all on paying diakhaby and mbenza to let you spend the night with them

Martin from Wakefield is going to be dining out on this for yrs... Any others on here who could pass as a doppelganger or body double for famous people... We must have someone who looks like Oti? Yep, Richard Gere regularly claims he looks like me. Getting a bit sick of it to be frank. With or without gerbil? 😉

Good for the club to highlight Martin from Wakefield's charity, fair play to him to do the video, even as a Man City fan! Heartbreaking to read that Ben. Makes you want to hug your kids/g-kids and appreciate that Mr. Shankly was definitely not right! I've sent a few bob to Martin house with the following message: We usually support "Forgetmenot" but on the back of a story by an appreciative parent and, to a lesser extent, the video clip of the "Huddersfield manager" we would like you to accept this donation. Please carry on the great work.

Anyone know why he was sacked at Essen? they thought otium was coming lol I do have to question Dean Hoyle as to why otium wasn't considered for the job? Why must we continue with this ridiculous notion that actual football people are more prepared to lead our team? I'm frankly disgusted that we've gambled our entire future on some young upstart with top UEFA accreditation and a broad knowledge of rising German talent, when we could have had an aging fantasist bringing in 34 year old Polish free agents. Well I for one won't be backing this John Seaweed bloke. You'll be receiving my season card in the post, Mr Hoyle.

Think you’ve been too hasty there...Oti would be more suited to the Director of Football vacancy. Don’t return that Season Card just yet...😉

Anyone know why he was sacked at Essen? A quick search on Google turned up the fact they were in the relegation zone when the club had hoped to be in the top third. Why do I get the feeling you already knew that? link

Perhaps in the couple of yrs we've been changing the face of our club, this bloke has also been maturing? Going back to your housebuilding analogy when you were criticising DW, would you hire an apprentice and after 2 yrs still have them making tea and getting the bacon sandwiches? Or would you have wanted that apprentice to have improved and be doing more meaningful stuff that you can trust them with? As I said earlier there will be the dinosaurs that will be underwhelmed...
