if you ever used to watch Air Crash Investigation you might be very hesitant getting into one of them Piper Malibu deathtraps, which begs the question would Cardiff let a £15m asset get into one? I know there is a human dimension to this tragedy as well before somebody bollocks me for referring to him as an asset. When I heard it was a Piper Malibu it made me cringe. First thing I thought was what was he doing in such an aircraft across the channel? I was trying to work out if it was his aircraft and if he was flying? Time pressures to get to training the next day? Thoughts are with his family and friends.

There is NO humour in this, regardless of how subtle the jokes are. People are missing, presumed dead. How on earth are their families, friends and colleagues feelings right now? Disappointed. yeah disgraceful from grimois. I hope the victims families are made aware of his depravity and act upon it without mercy. Saying that, grimois will love the publicity, might even get his podcast off the ground

Still likely to score more than Moonie. Fuck me what a stupid comment to make It’s called black humour- you’ll see worse on Facebook/Twitter before the day is out. He wasn’t a friend of yours was he? Someone you’d never met and never heard of until 2 days ago..Let’s not have aload of emotional outpouring for a guy none of us knew. It’s the modern way these days. Sure it’s sad he’s died but death is part of life for all of us.

If the bulk of these posts on this thread had been made by a muggle it would have been locked. Some shocking and embarrasing posts on this thread today. Piss poor is an understatement.

His family and friends I should imagine... who really cares about money? It's a simple question and I was only wondering what happens as it is unique circumstances People above are making jokes about it. Try having a go at them first Tragic news. To be honest, when I heard about it this morning the same thought did cross my mind. I would imagine clubs have insurance to cover all eventualities. Hopefully he's found safe but it does look very doubtful 😔

I'd imagine they're feeling worse than disappointed... Are you pissed or something? Time and a place Grimois. its when it suits with that cretin. It would be a different story if someone joked about a migrant drowning in the north sea. The bloke isnt worthy to be called a human being. Stand down grim. Do yourself a favour. Robbie fowler even knows your dickhead

Humour is what stops the world going into a morbid depression.
Something has to cut through all the sensitivity or we would all be walking round with our heads down crying.
As long as a joke remains just that and there is no genuine hatred or ill feeling towards the person then no harm done.
The show must go on...

You've highlighted the 2 ends of the spectrum there, neither of which are appropriate less than 24h after the incident & shouldn't be appropriate even when we find out exactly what has happened. It's just a tragic accident, they happen fairly regularly...

I agree with your first sentence, but there's plenty of other material for the comics Champ. Would you agree? There's cheap jokes and then there's cheap jokes - we've all been guilty in our lifetime of crass stupidity...

Black humour is an inbuilt self preservation device. Everyone knows it’s a horrible, unimaginable situation for all involved. In pubs and forums across the country people will be making jokes rather than contemplating their own mortality and the unjust, fragility of life.
It may seem unpleasant but it’s perfectly natural. Nobody on here knew the potential victim’s or any of their family. There’s no malice at all, just deflective flippancy.

Aye what kind of world would we live in if we can’t take the piss out of the suspected deceased....embarrassment to our club. I think Grimois might have had a different opinion had it been a migrant ship.

You're the second person to refer to the migrant issue and I don't know exactly what thread you're referring to but as it's a largely political issue I steer clear of those types of subjects as a ban would be immanent.

How anyone can be offended by that is beyond me.

Look, if you're the type of person who reacts to any vaguely left of centre opinion on here by saying something like 'snowflakes getting offended on behalf of others', you're in no position to wet the bed over this.

I don’t get any humour from this at all..
The Leicester chairman and others perished a few weeks ago in similar circumstances and everybody paid their respects on here?
So what’s the difference?
I don’t get it?
Is it because it didn’t happen on land over this country. How did we have more empathy with a chairman of a club than a player of another club.
One things for sure if ,and perish the thought..that was a new town player coming in..or worse our beloved chairman..and fans of other clubs made such comments there’d be uproar.
Show some respect.

Champ made a perfectly decent post regarding how humour often helps us all get through the gloom life throws up, and I agreed with him. I don't see how your mind then concludes that by doing that is laughing at this tragedy?

Its when it suits, this isnt something that affects his agenda so he feels happy to mock the perceived dead. The bloke would never make such a comment regarding a dead migrant, because it will appear negative infront of his peers.
