Not sure we look anywhere near threatening enough in the 4-3-3 formation without the pace of Diakhaby or Mbenza. When they are available, the Arsenal game shows we can cause other teams problems but without that pace the threat is just non-existant. I'd stick with the diamond until we have pace back in the team. In the diamond, Mounie can win headers and Grant can look for the flick ons. good constructive post a change from the stuff already being posted.

It worked well on Tues but too many players had an off day today. Stankovic needs to get himself fit enough to last 90 minutes because he could make that position his own

Still pride to play for, hopefully we will regain some in the last few games...
Brighton will be grateful for the 3 pts, but don't think they're out of the mix just yet...

There can be no future for Pritchard 1 shot and little else & subbed, perhaps its our pedestrian system doesnt suit but I always rated him prior to joining us.
Billing absolutely nowhere in this game, strolls around doesnt work hard enough always walking and without the engine that is Hogg, we couldnt stop their 2nd half onslaught.
Hoping for a 0 0 was the best we could hope for, barely got the ball forward, 2 pens easily not awarded against H's shove and Terry K on another day would have made it look far worse.
First half our typical away performance solid, knocking it around as we do but once our opponent changes tempo we're goosed, we had no legs despite the changes and this really was a game to go and grab a win. Poor game management.
Full credit to the travelling support today.

The good news is... siewerts plan doesn't seem to revolve around mooy who would drive at the speed limit in a Ferrari. No chance he will be here next year with someone surely willing to splash 20 million on him.
Hes not quite as pivotal in the siewert way as the Wagner way.

Wouldn't be surprised if billings agent already has him a move lined up as well as he seems like he is trying not to get injured.

What a difference 4 days makes. It was an awful game but at times we were beyond sloppy. Shame we couldn't have got at least a point out of it as the gap to 17th would have been just a little bit smaller.

Chris Houghton half time talk and system change won this game got more players further up the pitch and far more pace to the game.

I'd have to see it again but it looked like Billing who was the one nearest him Exactly because Schindler failed to track the run, Billing wasn't his marker but was the closest when the striker headed the winner. Was Billing playing? He looked like he was just making the numbers up

Today summed up why weâre going down
Didnât score again and again someone loses concentration for a second and they score
Itâs fine margins but those regular âswitch offâ moments are why so many of our players arenât quite good enough at this level

We're a poor side but there's many factors that have contributed. That lack of confidence doesn't help with dealing with situations like that quickly taken FK. I also think it says a lot that it's quiet on here tonight, from being up and at 'em a few days ago, to being down in the dumps again. Confidence and belief are what needs work before the end of the season. Go into post season with a small psychological leg up...

Most of our so called better players were far to slow in their ball control today ,and Billing was the worst player on the field looking totally uninterested to what he was trying to achieve
This is no where near a top six championship team , and a present defence and forward line that would struggle in league 1
It was the end for me when Flo came on as he is the biggest load shite i have ever seen at this level
Jan can only field what he has at his disposal and sadly we lack ability and footballing brains in most areas
Cheque book urgently required in the close season Mr Hoyle

So why not play Durm there even if it means Kongolo to left back(if Lowe injured ) and Wanka in at centre back , just dont have Flo there or Bacuna....that young lad Duhaney did better than Flo who lets his man go by every time and he's soft as to boot I guess he was trying him again after Tuesday. But I'd have had Lowe on and shifted Durm to RB. It was the most attacking change we could make given how shit our bench is at the moment. Excuse my ignorance was Lowe on the bench then and if yes im amazed he cant work it out Lowe left, Durm right

I'm buzzing after that. What a header by Andone. That's two sublime headers against you lot.
After that vital win i cannot see us going down. Premier league football again next season.
Really pleased with our first double of the season

Really pleased with our first double of the season Jeez if that's your idea of entertainment from either side, I feel sorry for you. It was drab affair between 2 poor sides in any division... enjoy another year in the premier league. The financial rewards for the club is far greater than the product for the fans.

Really pleased with our first double of the season Wouldn't be counting your chickens just yet. Think you could emulate the side of 1984, FA cup final and relegation in the same season. You've just beaten a side 1-0, a side who are down on their arse. If you do survive fair play, but you won't be doing anything other than same again next season...

Really pleased with our first double of the season I wouldn't be too confident. The rest of the league are nowhere near as shite as us. A narrow 1-0 against us doesn't mean you've turned a corner - all it means is you have beaten the worst team in the league by a single goal. Well done.

Quite agree pal but at this stage of the season it's all about results and nothing more. I can rejoice in knowing 3pts were added to the table and viewing it makes pleasing reading.

Certainly that run wiped out the confidence I just think fine lines weâre not good enough - premier league players donât/ canât switch off as a norm. Weâve been the wrong the side of a dozen tight games and in many the difference has been an individual sleeping at a key moment

We have enough about us to stay up again. Big investment needed again in the summer and i'm sure Bloom will deliver. Happy day!
