See Southampton are saying Fraser Foster is not in their plans. As keepers go he isn't too bad. Right unit and needs to get his career back on track.

Just a few names who could be an option for next season..Although not sure how attainable they are
Riedlwald from Crystal Palace. Arrived with a fair bit of hype and was highly rated at Ajax. Not had a look in at palace but the kind of signing we had success with last time we were in the championship. Someone who has lost their way a bit and needs a new environment to kick start their career.
Knockheart + Kayal from Brighton. Both would be quality in the championship and have been in and out of the side year so may fancy a new challenge.
Maddison from Peterbrough. This lad reminds me of Pilkington with his style of play. Direct, tricky and seems to have decent end product. Can definitely see this lad making the step up.
Freddie Sears. Not the greatest goal scorer but a good player on his day. Would be a decent option from the bench and shouldn't cost too much from relegated Ipswich
Will Vaulks. Been a stand out player for Rotherham this season. Good steady all round midfielder who can chip in with the odd goal too. Think he might be out of contract at end of the season too.
Matt Clarke. From Portsmouth if they don't get promoted. Still quite young so can improve. Comfortable on the ball and a good reader of the game. Would be a good option if Kongolo/ Zanka/ Schindler leave.
Herbie Kane. Currently on loan at Doncaster and just got into the league one team of the year. Great passer with lots of potential to improve. Not getting anywhere near the Liverpool midfield so could perhaps be bought, if not would be a good loan signing.
Helder Costa/ Cavalerio both wolves. Both good players at championship level. Not had a look in this season. Would fit in a 4-3-3 Or 4-2-3-1 system.
Just a few suggestions.. However the value does seem to come from abroad and feel this is probably more more likely market for Jan

Ashley Williams is way past his best. Not very highly regarded down here at all. Very one -paced although Stoke have been pretty decent defensively since Jones came in.

Not sure the route of untested youth from lower leagues is a good idea. Not sure tried and tested players at this level is a good idea, either! Bit of a conundrum!!
Norwich proved you dont need proven Championship players. We did the same a couple of years ago. Wont happen a third time, no chance
Can we just buy Neymar?

A player stood out for me when I watch Portsmouth v cov was Bright Enobakhare at Loan at Coventry from wolves 20 year old winger, 6 goals and 3 assists in 16 games.

See Southampton are saying Fraser Foster is not in their plans. As keepers go he isn't too bad. The problem is he is on a massive wage which is why he can't get a move, rumour its £60-70K

Top scorer in the championship last season but not had a look in at Burnley.. Would guess he'd be available for around 4/5 million

Forster was letting in almost every shot he faced by the time he got dropped last season, it was a big reason Southampton almost went down. An out of contract keeper like Westwood, Adrian, or Boruc would be a lot better.
By all accounts Williams has had a poor couple of seasons for Everton, Stoke and Wales. Might be useful as an old head to have around but I can't imagine his wages being cheap. There must be a smarter move out there for us.
Aribo was on the scoresheet for Charlton again this weekend.

Rather we went for Sean Morrison than looking at likes of Williams as a centre back.

Not advocating we should take him but we may need quite a few players in the door and i can't see us over spending on some squad players.

Can we not go for Ashley Williams.... I imagine his wage bill would be high, and he's nigh on the end of the his career.
I am concerned that we will have alot of players leaving as well. I can see all the following leaving:
Lossl Kongolo (too good for championship) Billing Mooy Williams Depoitre Zanka Sabiri Sobhi Durm Puncheon (thank god)
While M'benza may go and I wouldn't be surprised if Hogg and Shindler got offers

Well, we'd expect money from Kongolo, Billing, Mooy, Zanka, Sabiri and Sobhi if they go. Plus parachute payments. I'd expect we will probably sign a couple of out of contract players such as Westwood, Marshall (as keeper options), Mcmanaman and Blackett are a couple of decent players we can nab on a free currently. I'd also expect we'd use our loans wiser this time around. Then we'll likely see some unknown foreign players (seems to be our way recently..) as well as a couple of potential gems from lower leagues.

Town always seem to sign the players that none of the fans really rate or want.If we had gone for Grosicki an Bowen from Hull when we signed Grant,I reckon we would still be in the Prem.Next season.
