Seen enough of Lyle Taylor at AFC Wimbledon to think that L1 is his level. Sounds Ike the clamour we had to sign that big lump who used to play with Wells at Sadford (forgotten his name, he used to stack shelves at Co-op). James Hanson. Coincidentally he’s at AFC Wimbledon now ...... scored the odd goal but struggling.

Get back to Charlton for Joe Aribo out of contract at end of season before he ends up somewhere else, maybe Prem. Quality box to box engine. Well worth perusing IMO

Taking a simplistic view of if we can sign the championship team of the year or best players I have seen ex Norwich, Sheff Utd and villa who I think will go up. Ignoring WBA & Boro given wages. I would suggest Dack (Blackburn) Powell (Wigan) James & McBurnie (Swansea) Bowen (Hull), Lawerence (Derby) Freeman (QPR) Jannson & Philips (Leeds) From a generic perspective a keeper, #10 and goal scorer are essential signings providing everyone stays put.

We've gone up the pecking order, but we'll still struggle to take players from Derby and Leeds or of the calibre of Bowen.

Wouldn't mind having someone like Vydra come in. Plenty of pace and not really getting much at Burnley.

Jack Rodwell from Blackburn would be a good shout. He's PL quality. Not sure how he's ended up at Ewood Park.

Paxton Pomykal is going to be a terrific number 10 in a few years. I’ve watched him a few times this season and he reminds me a lot of a younger Pritchard with a little more pace. Since I’m located in the states I watch a lot of mls matches. In the last few years youth academies have really started developing fine players here but due to the league imposed salary constraints there is more young talent here than there is money to pay them. Many of those players have gone to the bundesliga. With mls stating that they want to be a selling league, a club like Town (a club with a focus on moving academy players into the first team and in the more expensive English market which mls would love for sell-ons) would be a perfect landing spot for many of the upper crust of youth talent.
Also, if anyone has any questions about any mls players I’ve watched them all. In general though I’d recommend following the below guide if you question whether any of them can play in the championship: 1) Are they a defender? If yes they suck. 2) Are they 25 or older? If yes they either suck or are on extremely inflated salaries. 3) Are they 24 or younger? A handful could be very good players in any league within a few years. A few dozen could be future contributors in the championship. All the others also suck.

Five players I'd like to see come here in summer to add strength, Steer Izzy Brown Reach Maupay Rhodes
All imo would make us better than we are now.

Thank fuck for that. Surprised we aren't giving him a new deal with what a shambles of a season it's been.

Out Hamer Coleman Smith Quaner Kachunga Mbenza Puncheon Depoitre
Wouldn't be fussed if we lost: Mounie Van Le Parra Sobhi Diakhaby Hadergjonaj
Which means we need: Back-up GK (or two if Lossl leaves) x2 AM x1/2 ST
This is an absolute minimum

Think we need to take a step back, get rid of the emotion and hurt from this season and also stop judging some players on this years standard. We will have several top level championship players in the ranks that maybe aren't quite good enough for the prem for example IMO Hadegjonaj would probably be an excellent Championship right back in an attacking side (he was decent in the survival season as well when he joined us). The same goes for the likes of Mbenza, Diakahby, Pritchard, Kachunga etc.
Personally I'd like to see the majority of the squad stay together as we do play some tidy football at times but just don't have the quality to unlock premier league defences, it will be slightly easier in the Championship with a pacey front line (VLP, Diakhaby, Mbenza) including Grant who looks like he will be a massive threat.
Obviously I'd like to see some fresh faces come in and I accept some will go but I don't want to see a total overhaul.

Smith is a very good Championship right back. No way should we let him go.

The main question is will it be seiwert and deano running the show.... or a consortium and a new boss.
Can the new owners pay the wages to keep some of the better quality players.
We didn't need wholesale changes for us to have become established in the premier league, it's just the tweaks, which were identified were filled with players without the instant quality to impact on games and keep us up.
So next year I'd hope we keep the majority of the core of the team together, and then either tweak it under siewert and deano.
Or if a new owner comes in, that they appoint their own director of football and he brings in a new head coach and a load of new players and plenty leaving

Not meaning fot Town to go for but....... HOW FUCKING MUCH ?!!!!
And Real will only let 25-year-old France defender Raphael Varane leave for the 500m euros (£437m) release clause in his contract. (RAI Sport via Calciomercato)

Kieran Westwood out of contract @ Wednesday and Barry Douglas from Leeds would be 2 very good signings. Nick Powell out of Wigan and maybe Vydra out of Burnley.

Westwood would be a very welcomed addition in the Championship, excellent keeper at that level and a good senior pro.

Hopefully they all ready know who wants to stay & who wants out. Anybody who's not 100% committed can go as far as I'm concerned. I'd like to think they have a plan for the Championship that was made about 18 months ago or just after last season started - so it shouldn't be something that's been put together at the last minute. Problem will be getting the ones out that you don't want but aren't going to wanted by anyone else - or clubs want them for next to nothing.
Obviously last summers transfer business was a complete disaster. Wagner prob realised as early as pre-season that he'd completely fucked up & we were going to be in the shit this season. No wonder he looked a broken man & the pressure contributing to him needing to leave. I bet Tom Ince is fuming as even he had more impact than any of the summer signings, despite what people think of him - he'd certainly have been useful for the Championship.
I also wonder if Dean Hoyle hadn't been ill - would the transfer business have been better?? Interesting summer ahead

I'd be glad if we took on David Marshall as a keeper option to work with Coleman.
Lossl is leaving right? Hamer is pants.

It's apparent by now that we need a new keeper, but I am surprised that Westwood is the name that's getting brought up. Burnley have Heaton, Hart, Pope, Lindegaard and Legzdins who are all capable at Championship level or higher. We should go for Pope IMO, he was a massive reason they placed so highly last season.
