Anyone heard anything re. Williams or Sabiri ?
I expected Willians to be in the squad yesterday and possibly in the team so the manager could have a look at him. I expect we won't be offering him a new contract so that might be that. Sabiri on the other hand should be fit enough for the bench and 30 mins ? Strange that the manager wants to look at all the players but this lad hasn't featured at all despite being fit enough to get some game time with Germany under 21s. I think he could have something about him in time and be a good championship player.

It would be nice if these things were occasionally asked in the pre and post match press conferences. Instead of the usual tripe being trotted out about "trying to win games" "its a tough league" etc.

Billing still got a poorly back? Due to too much standing in the shop window.

Sabiri is a mystery, played for Germany U21s about three weeks ago and still isn’t fit enough to make our squad (allegedly). Looked a decent player the odd time we’ve seen him. One who could do well next year but obviously won’t be here if Jan remains.

Instead of the usual tripe being trotted out about "trying to win games" "its a tough league" etc. Sabiri was spoken about in the Palace press conference after his brief u21 outing as well as in the Watford pre match. He’s not fully fit to play after his broken collar bone yet. And that’s why he only managed 20mins for the u21s.

Must admit that if they're not getting games when JS is experimenting then it doesn't bode well for them staying on next season.

And yet if he was a speedway rider he'd have had it plated and screwed and been back the week after 🤔. He didn't look like he wasn't fully fit when he played for Germany and he certainly looked fit enough to be on our bench. He'd be stronger than Pritch at #10

I think its more of a case of him not figuring in Siewert's plans rather than fitness.

I still get confused between Sobhi and Sabiri.
How do you tell the difference between two players, bought at about the same time, who we paid ££££££££££ ,but hardly ever actually saw play.
For reference, see Mbenza/Diakhaby.

Billing still got a poorly back? No mate. It’s the old bone disease with Billing, bone idle.

For reference, see Mbenza/Diakhaby. Sabiri was bought last season. He set up depoitre's goal in the draw at home to leicester. I dont believe he was bought for that much in premier league terms. If indeed siewert wants to play a 4 3 3 formation then i dont think sabiri will genuinely be considered for next season. Same with pritchard, i think we will sell when/ if an offer comes in.
