If Pritchard does go it will save the club 20 to 120 grand a week. Perv

Ah DATM golden boy Pritchard
Mounie 7 goals and 3 assists since Pritchard joined us
Golden boy has 2 goals and 1 assist in that time. Awful on both counts
About time DATM golden boy turned up
Mounie ‘looks’ lazy whereas Pritchard runs (to little effect) so DATM logic is to criticise Mounie
He will be a good asset in the championship... but he doesn’t half get away with it

433, much like man city, should see Pritchard in one of the two furthest forward central midfield positions. In a perfect world, Mooy and Bacuna would occupy the other spaces. With Diakhaby, Grant and mbenza as the front 3, I think that'd work well against championship opposition. With diacalm and mbenza we would need two cover players - they are always bloody ill or injured. Please god we send mbenza back to his old club, and then spend time getting diacalm fit and ready to go next aug. With the money earned from mooy, billing, zanka, kongolo leaving and no contracts for williams, lossl, durm and ldp we should have a budget very capable of competing to come back.......particularly if pritchard also goes.

You can. Especially if you’re prepared to change your mind. You can easily get an opinion about a player in one game, and then refine that opinion over time. I did like what I saw about Diakhaby and Mbenza early on, not really sure where I stand on them at the moment, Mbenzas last outing was one of the worst / most confused I’ve ever seen (in amongst firing over 3 or 4 shit hot crosses).

Pritchard is proven quality at championship level. Not sure he suits a 4-3-3 but I'm hoping that wont be the formation we play anyhow.

Another big disappointment sadly move him on. We need fighters & unity a la class 2017. A bit of a clear out required & build around Shindler, Hogg, Bucana & Grant.

Don't call me Shirley! Watched a bit of that film again yesterday. Still makes me laugh even on the 50th viewing First saw it with my dad at the ABC, in about '82, in a double feature as the support to Life of Brian 😂😂😂

Really depends on formation. 4-3-3 and he's a waste of a wage, 4-2-3-1 and he'd be useful. Nowhere near good enough for the Premiership and never will be but has performed in the Championship before.
Flatters to deceive too often without much output.

No time for sentiment. I like Pritchard more now, than when we bought him, he has shown the willingness to fight, graft and try his best.... sadly, he probably isn't physical enough for a Jan seiwert side, but when he comes back to town, he's a player I would happily clap, it's best for him and town that he moves on.... sadly.

One of the few players we have who have proven themselves at Championship level and loads want to fuck him off because he doesn't fit the preferred formation of a total lame duck manager. Crazy.

Exactly!! A "Jan Siewert team" ?!?! Does anyone know what that even looks like, all I've seen is 11 disorganised looking individuals running around in the Town shirt getting humiliated week after week. He makes Lee Clark look like a master tactician.

Come off it. You can see players that naturally fit into the style he wants to play. At the moment I'd say the only players that be starting next year if still here are. Schindler kongolo (doubtful) or stankovich Bacuna Diakhaby grant mBenza (possibly) He has no left or right midfielders, the full backs are questionable as well. Are we saying Wagner was lame for buying players to fit into a 4231? Later a 541? Didn't see many other formations,he wants to play with pace and quick in speed of thought and passing... He doesn't have the players..... will he ever have them is the biggest question mark.

Anyone who paid even a passing interest to Sunderland FC will realise how potentially difficult it is to move players on who are in contract I think that would only apply to a mounie, everyone else will be in demand and can probably Match or increase their diminished championship wages. Even mounie will probably get a good move back to France, but he may be the hardest to "shift" the others are all themselves over club, so will have agents that will manufacture moves. Its going to be a very busy summer. 10 in and 10 out I reckon.

I have no doubt the Norwich forum was like this when Farke took over and they had a poor 1st season under him but look what happened with a bit of patience by the club and the help they gave him to build his team, have players to fit his system etc. Town will be able to get Siewert his team as of the start of next season due to the high numbers of those that will be sold and released/leaving due to being out of contract. Also, don't forget Hoyle did his homework on this guy for a couple of years and after having a good manager, he knows the qualities required for one so calm ya shit down.

Fair points imo but tell me anything about this manager which makes you feel he has shown you that he will produce a team to prosper next season. And realistically "prospering" on our budget should be challenging for play offs at least.. Even when Norwich were losing I'm sure there were Norwich fans who could see what he was trying to do, albeit unsuccessfully. Can you tell me what Siewert is trying to do ? After 15 games can you tell me what his philosophy is ? I'm struģgling to see it if I'm being honest

I thought it was interesting yesterday when I read that their planned spend is 20 million - they will not put the club at risk financially. I'm fairly confident that Webber will already have targets within that budget in mind - either that or his next move to the next 'bigger' club will be in the pipeline. He does have an eye for a player it has to be said - Mooy, Paterson, Chilwell, Heff, Schindler etc and it is that that has probably helped Farke - that said Farke does appear to be a calm and clever coach who gets the best from the players that he has (square pegs in square holes springs to mind) which again is a huge help!

I'm struģgling to see it if I'm being honest Valid points and I do see where some supporters are coming from but were just not seeing his true style or preferred formation. Firstly the circumstances in which he arrived, no one was going to get us out of it. IMO some players totally gave up when Wagner left and some have not shown any stomach for a fight and as always is the case when a team is struggling its amazing how many niggles players get as an excuse to not play compared to when your doing well everyone is generally fit! We weren't scoring under Wagner, he was playing more defensively yet still losing games but only by the odd goal, Siewert comes in, nothing to lose, tries going for it more, still not worked as he's working with dud's and they don't suit the way he wants to play the game. We saw with Wagner when we got to the final 3rd, if the ball wasn't on it went sideways, backwards just not to lose possession, balls into the box with just one man to 4 defenders, Siewert wants to try play balls in behind and has tried getting more bodies in the box, take more risks in the final 3rd but with the lack of quality that we have for the league we are in and the wrong kind of forward players (with the exception of Grant) the guy has had no chance. He's had no wingers available for quite a few games too, Diakhaby and Mbenza being out injured and Diakhaby was starting to get some confidence and decent performances going too, but still these players are not good enough for the PL! Farke still had a good selection and standard of players for the Championship level, that's probably why you could still see more signs of what he was wanting to do. The standard in the PL is extremely high and we are nowhere near what's required, simple. It was all f****d up in the summer with seriously poor recruitment offensively and the club missed a massive opportunity to establish themselves in the PL after surviving the 1st season. The purse strings should have been opened up a hell of a lot more, the signs had been there last season and the season before as to where we needed to improve and we never did improve. I'm looking forward to the Championship, its a great league, bottom can beat top, full of goals, Tuesday Saturday games, intense, exciting and tough..... just doesn't have the riches of the PL and hopefully the club has ambitions to return, learn from mistakes made to have another go. Siewert is a risk as he has no history of success behind him, but I like the what he says, he's hungry to succeed and sounds like he's not been frightened to give some players a few home truth's and the club did their homework on him. Wagner was a risk but he came in with OK standard players for the league he came in to and was able to do some loans and make signings and it was simple to see differences from Powell to him as Powells football was just shite and Wagner proved that the players weren't as fit as they should have been under Powell.

I find it quite staggering some are clinging into this blind hope that if he's allowed to buy loads of new players he'll suddenly become a good coach. It's absolute nonsense. I've seen more than enough to tell me he isn't up to the job, nothing to do with impatience, just forming an opinion based on his very poor performance in every single area since he got the job. I don't doubt he has something which has attracted the club but he isn't up to the job at those moment in time that's for sure. The club may have been watching him for two years but what does that actually mean? He's been doing a job which bears little relation to the one he's now being asked to do so it was always going to be a big gamble. The gamble hasn't paid off, they often don't and bearing in mind recent recruitment from the club I don't think anyone should be surprised. Just the latest in a long line of poor decisions made by people who aren't qualified. Forgive me if I can't get excited by talk of Jans 433. It's all talk with zero substance. I think they will be cheap enough (wages wise) will be motivated to move (due to low wages/wage cuts and championship football) and probabaly availiable at reasonable transfer fees to secure moves. To be fair, I'd be happy for any of them to stay at half wages in the championship if Jan can get them in the team.... all would be considered good championship players.

It doesn't matter if our players aren't in demand, it's the agents that will seek the moves for their clients. Can't imagine there will be much interest in the likes of zanka, but he won't be here come August, I'd imagine he will be back at Copenhagen next season.
