He’s literally done nothing wrong to deserve being dropped
Kongolo got done like a mug (lunged in and megged) in his last game at West Brom so it would be really unfair on brown if he lost the shirt as soon as kongolo is fit
Kongolo is quality but I’d prefer him at CB

For someone with so little first team experience he's been a real positive, I can only assume Exeter have a really good left back or the manager didn't think he was ready.Early days but could turn out to be a great singing.

He looks as though he has been well coached as a youngster. Comfortable with the ball at his feet, composed, passes well and positionslly solid. Young still so hope he can last through the grind of a Championship season but definitely worth his place and better than Kongolo as a left back.

Spurs fans were amazed when they allowed him to leave for us. He's a great prospect.

Kongolo and Pritchard should start on the bench and have to earn their way back in to the team. No way I’d be changing a defence which has conceded 1 in 3 games (and that was a keeper error). And that’s despite prior to WBA me calling for Kongolo to replace Elphick.

He's also got a bit of his own attacking flair, so not a carbon copy academy fullback.

More natural full-back than TK and it shows.

I’d say whilst we are looking so solid at the back, keep it exactly like it is. All four looked good yesterday and this solidity is bringing the best out of Schindler and Elphick also.

2 games without conceding a goal... in fact without conceding much of a chance at all.
Id leave it as it is. Neither JB, Schindler or Elphick deserve dropping for Kongolo the way hes been playing IMO.

Cracking young player, but Kongolo will be back in when fit imo. Not in front of Brown at left back he won't. Not if Brown continues to out in these displays.. If kongolo starts at Blackburn and brown is dropped ill let you have my body

And on current form, that would be harsh on either Schindler or Elphick. Brown has been one of our stand out performers this season. He gives us balance and his performances mean IMO he's an automatic choice at left back.

Brown is promising and improving but Kongolo is the best defensive player in the division, and DC prefers him at LB it seems, so if he’s fit he’ll be starting there. Brown is a young player. He was never gonna play every game this season and nor would me it be good for him- he’s still finding his feet and developing his game at this level. Kongolo has twice gone for Circa £20M and for me is still the first name on the team sheet. And if you don’t agree, name me a better defender in the championship.

Kongola may be a better overall defender, but Brown is already looking a more natural all round attacking fullback. He was excellent yesterday against two of the supposed best wingers in the Championship.

Kongolo at his best is the best defender in the Championship. Kongolo hasn’t been anywhere near his best for a very long time. I’d be disappointed if he displaced Brown at the moment though I agree it is important not to burn out a young talent. However, we don’t have a game for a fortnight.

Just hope Kongolo packs in midweek nights out with his mates in Manchester when he’s back from injury.
As it stands Brown is our best left back. Leave him be.

I agree he's one of the best defenders in the Championship - as a centre half. He can do a job at fullback, but he's no great shakes. Moving forward I'd like to see Kongolo in the centre of defence and Brown at fullback. Currently though, Schindler and Elphick are doing well, so Kongolo will have to wait his turn. I'm sure sooner rather than later Kongolo will replace Elphick, but at the moment he's playing well and deserves his place. And finally, I actually think Brown offers more than Kongolo as a fullback.

For me it’s clear he’s very raw. He may be 20 but he’s very new to the professional game. He’s a bit timid and he’s not so sure of his game- all perfectly normal- he’s had 6 professional appearances. He needs game time but not the responsibility of being the no.1 left back. It’s a good problem to have. We can bring him through this season but not be reliant on him. This is not as good a league as when we left it imo. Very physical. We will need Kongolos physicality this year and we will certainly need Brown this year but especially next season imo. Looks a cracking signing.

Absolutely we would. Our refusal or inability to sign any decent full backs was as damning as any other mistakes we made.

He won’t come straight back in to the back four he will probably start on the bench and rightly so. But he will return to the back four he’s in a different class to any defender we have and he’s quick.

Bang on - A run of games this year and a pre season on the protein shakes with some gym time and we have a right player.
