Have to score first. Our record is bad enough when we go one goal down, but that stat the other week about the last time we came back from 2 down was astonishing. It’s why a lot of this has to be psychological with successive Town teams over the past few seasons. Here’s hoping we get some luck, get some goals and 3 points keeps us in the hunt until the last day… UTT!!! Our record is bad enough when we go one goal UP

I think the fan appreciation day is a great idea, some top prizes there, but even without the prizes, it's a nice gesture.

I'll be going Saturday, but with a few caveats. Firstly if Burgzorg is starting I'll be heading straight home, he plays like he's had a labotomy. Secondly if we concede 3 goals in a 20 period I won't be renewing next season. This has been happening all season, regardless of our ever changing managers the players and other staff should understand how to shut shop, and keep it tight and install mentality of not to role over and die. It's pathetic. I'm a fan. I've a rule with sport, film, music and other stuff i put my hard earned cash into. I don't pay for products I think an amateur could at least replicate. These arseholes are getting paid for this.

Puts things into perspective. This man bravely completes that challenge and yet we have footballers who can’t perform on a pitch, earning many times what this gent raised for a charity. His justgiving page is still open for anyone wondering what to spend their season ticket money on.

It’s been a season of unbelievable luck. I’ve not missed a home game and this season I’ve noticed that just about every loose ball or ricochet ends up at the feet of the opposition. Add to this an injury situation like I’ve never known before. Apart from off the field stuff it’s just been a crazy season. There really isn’t anything unlucky about ricochets or loose balls. They’re loose because we can’t pass or control a football properly. True, you earn your luck in football. We always seem to mention how many injuries we have to deal with every season, do we really incur more injuries than the average Championship side? There's usually a good stat man on here. I'm not sure we do, and if we do it's due to poor medical/strength and conditioning staff or managers overplaying certain players.

Depending on the result, it may be our players rather than Brums running for the tunnel if there is an invasion!

I'm not sure we do, and if we do it's due to poor medical/strength and conditioning staff or managers overplaying certain players. Our injury record this season has been signficantly worse than much of the division. And part of the reason is above. Our soft-tissue record has been poor since John Iga left. It's not a coincidence that we've just removed our head of player conditioning. We have signed players with poor injury records, but even players with good injury records have been injured for significant periods because of our own failings. Think Tom Lees - he's missed more of this season through soft-tissue injury than the rest of his career combined. But we have also been unlucky. Impact injuries that nobody can do anything about have been significant. Helik, Burgzorg, Headley, Hogg, Turton, Ruffels have all been out for significant periods due to impact injury. If you get tackled in just the wrong way, something can just go. And that's what we've also faced this season - more impact and no-fault injuries than in other seasons. What we need is a proper pre-season, because that's a huge part of it. We didn't get players ready for the season with our jaunt to Cornwall. Players weren't fit by the modern standard. 2024/25 must see us get a proper pre-season in because it gets us fit for a relentless league and cup schedule, and it acts as a preventative for injuries. Whatever happens, players need to rest over the summer so those minor tweaks sort themselves, then we need a regime that makes us the fittest side in the division because this season we've been the most unfit.

Presser tomorrow
…we controlled the game and didn’t put chances away …12th man …all together …cup final …take our chances
Fast forward 24 hrs
No striker starting 2 x defensive CMs Edwards as RB Sorba playing centrally Headley LB Players look knackered after 15 mins
FT whistle Down the tunnel Post game interview…small margins went against us, nervous performance, assessment by the DoF on the way forward, out of my hands
Evening, pick up curry and book 6 week holiday in Barbados for mid May
Hope I’m wrong 🤣

It's a poor do when 40 out of 172 think we have the chance of staying up at home against an equally shit team.
What a cluster fuck of a season!

Last time relegated from championship was Birmingham at home 2001 - everything went against us that day
Perhaps we go full circle and somehow what seems nailed on relegation doesn’t happen… yet
Yep no logic to that I know!

Just when we think things couldn't get any worse, Pritchard will score If that little prick does anything to send us down, I'll be on the facking pitch nutting him. Cue a postponement. We lose a point for failing to control fans - i.e me as I everyone on for a pile-in. Match replayed. We win. We stay up ultimately. I'm a hero. Kev gives me some inflatable clapper things and I go home happy as a pig in poo.

Well there we are - Finally all packed and up in five hours time to rock n’ roll from Connel on The Shores of Loch Etive at 6am and head to England’s finest town of Huddersfield via Glasgow and Manchester !
Hopefully HTAFC can muster up a win anything else is UNTHINKABLE simply Unthinkable -
The normally buzzing town of Huddersfield will I’d assume be very flat if it all goes badly wrong...
I’m still clinging to the straw - yep all 21 stone of me and if they manage to take it to Matchday 46 then they might get a muted kinda quiet clap if they choose to do a slow walk of thanks for the fans...
But if it goes horribly wrong surely to goodness that they’ll be advised to just navel gaze in shame and disappear up the tunnel ASAP and Andre as well right behind them...
Would I boo at The John Smith’s Stadium ?
Yes of course I would - Cheats with Whistles and Flags for one...
Also any opposition player that tried to overstep the mark while trying to maim a Town player -
But the club - Nope I don’t think I’d bring myself to do it, However I certainly wouldn’t find it within myself to applaud players that seen to it our tragic relegation 100 years after out first top league triumph...
Worst scenario - I’d turn ma back on them as they strolled past ma bit of the ground...
Anyway let’s hope we’re all applauding them off for taking it to the final day at least !
Prediction = Huddersfield Town 2 v Birmingham City 1 🙏
(The iPad ain’t getting a trip to England so I’ll probably be back on around Tuesday so peace from keyboard warrior Westie for a bit - But hope to see a few of DATM’s finest in and around the very fine pubs of Huddersfield over the next three or four days) ! 👍 🍺 🥃

Probably a draw which will allow Wednesday's sell out crowd (and half of the Holmfirth/Shepley area) to celebrate early.

Probably a draw which will allow Wednesday's sell out crowd (and half of the Holmfirth/Shepley area) to celebrate early. A draw would put Wednesday into the drop zone as Birmingham would overtake them. Can't see them celebrating when they need a result. 30 odd more hours till kick off. I find myself constantly thinking about this. I just can't see us turning this around and winning. Mind, I couldn't see us getting close to beating Bristol, and towards the end of last week, I could see us getting something out of Swansea so who am I to predict owt.

You're right. My mistake, I got tripped up by the wording of 'to celebrate early', for some reason (and it's my own fault) I thought kick off times were different

A random blogger who is a Brum fan was on my u tube home page for some weird reason!!, there fans are in the same mindset as our lot and they are 2 points better off!! Strange really considering how easily the brushed Coventry aside. Missed a great chance at the death to beat Rotherham. I think they'll have too much for us. Far more quality coming off the bench (like last week) than we have
