There is no god given right for Huddersfield Town F.C to win every single football match at home (or away), regardless of whether you have paid your money, jumped over the fence or listened on the radio. One home League win this season. We have every right to expect more than that. When a clubs away form is much better than there home form. The clubs supporters have to have a good long look at themselves. The reason why most teams home record is better than there away record is because when they play at home they get support. If the away record is better than the home record that suggests that the home crowd are not supporting the team in the way they should. Unfortunately this is the case at Town. Some people seem to think that the crowd has no affect on the players. Those people are so very wrong

it could also be the case that our system with the 1 up top suits away games better. Teams come at us more and roberts, craney etc get mroe space.....that could also be a reason

Some people seem to think that the crowd has no affect on the players. Those people are so very wrong Here Here Its not just the booing, which is totally unacceptable. I do understand why the minority do it, I myself was swearing and shouting at times today out of sheer frustration at what I saw as at times a total lack of thought and effort from some players (and I certainly take no pride in doing so, I clearly get too emotionally involved in the whole thing!) . If ever a Boo crosses my lips during the 90mins I hope someone near me knocks my block off as its just pointless, unhelpful and unacceptable. But, every missed pass or error is greeted by an atmospheric groan from all corners. Full respect to the singing section today, there was a near constant stream of songs coming from there, but every where else is a morgue unless we're doing well. I accept, the players should give us something to cheer, but it's very much a 2 way thing and I can only imagine what effect our home atmosphere has. Its pretty obvious why we're better away from home! I can't wait to get in the south stand for the Yeovil game so I can actually raise my voice above a whisper without getting stared at like a leper. Every time a song starts I find myself joining in with a hushed murmur when i want to be tearing my throat to shreds with my level of volume. Last time I sit in the DG lower!

I didn't read it that people were booing Goodwin a such. More that they were booing the plank that awarded him the MOTM. Personally I don't have a problem with booing them off after a lousy performance, though its a hell of a long time since Ive done it. But the booing I heard of Williams coming on was a bloody disgrace. Hes not my favourite player by a long way, but booing a Town player whos coming on the field to hopefully play well for the team is utter rubbish. Whoever did that is a complete d*ckhead.

The players should be able to play, boos or no boos, to say otherwise is total bullshit. They are professionals and they should have experienced it a million times before.
The fact is, ST is an old-school shithead who cannot manage people effectively. The players are probably more scared of being dropped / sold by him then they are the home crowd.
It's time we got a forward thinking manager than some washed up, lame-arsed 'it should've of gone either way' bullshit.

Booing players is just not on. That said, I certainly didn't see a MOM display today from Goodwin, also he had just made (another) appalling pass into touch that a schoolboy could have made, and he was clearly embarrassed to be awarded MOM cos he hid his face in his shirt when it was announce Personally I blame the numpty sponsors that made the decision, it just seemed to set all the boo boys off.

Has anyone made the point that we lost against leicester and the players were applauded off?
So we draw against Bristol Rovers and get roundly booed.
So is it the manner of the performance that make people boo rather than the result?

As far as I am aware we live in an age of free speech, although with the impending failure of capitalism and by the sound of some of you facists on here it would seem you want to end the right to speak your mind. Or is it the tact that you think your own opinions are more valid and therefore, nobody else should have a right to express their opinion as it is in conflict of your own?
Booing is an expression of how people are feeling and in the mass crowd situation it is not possible to make a reasoned logical argument because the people that matter can not hear you. Booing is a relevant expression of feeling.
Throughout the game today I supported the players, (only having a brief moan about glenda to my mate sat beside me hehe!) but I did boo at the final whistle, however, my booing was directed towards Stan. In hindsight this was probably not the best expression of dissatisfaction as the players may have have thought my boo's were aimed at them.
I think the players did the best they could today it was stan who got it wrong tactically again today. In the first half even though I don't like to see one up front at home the players fit the formation well and it worked. Although Dicko who played really well, was left isolated for much of the half. Second half we go to 442, I presume to give dicko support up front but the players did not fit the formation and we fell apart, substitutions had to be made to make the formation work but by that time it was too late and they had scored. Correct me if I am wrong but i don't think we had a shot on goal in the second half and in injury time a slow patient build up is not the right approach it had not worked for the last 45 mins so get the ball into the box and have a go.
Booing Goddwin was really harsh he put some good crosses in and looked ok going forward but he is clearly not a defender and struggled, often being out of position, again this is stan's fault for playing him there, when we have a dedicated right back in holdsworth.
I would go down and have a word with stan about his tactics but I don't really think he would listen to me and I fear the harder I tried would only increase my chance of arrest.
I do not like the atmosphere at home this season it is really negative and I am partly to blame for this on occasion but yesterday it had got to the point where people were spending more time moaning about the moaners rather than supporting the team. Sad times.

I think we need a poll: are you a boo boy? Not that they're men enough to stand up.

I think we just need ONE thread marked 'booing' and put all the comments on that one.

I never boo the players but if I saw Ternant or Davy walking down the town centre I would boo them instantly.

did anyone see the idiot at the front of the antich stand, around the half-way line who was constantly having a go at goodwin, getting up out of his seat and giving him the fingers and shouting the most ridiculous abuse? Plus does anyone know the fat prick in the antich around the middle of the stand who constantly heckles abuse at Williams, he was booing when he came on yesterday?,

Loads of folk around me in the DG Lower were booing Williams as soon as he took off his tracky top. I thought some flab had spilled out but alas he had his Town shirt on to cover it.
