It is unacceptable.I did, however, pmsl when that Sadford full back had the meat pie chucked at him when he wanted the ball back a couple of seasons ago at their place.

Their 2nd goal looked onside to me, Williams played him on.

The pie chucking was pure comedic gold. ;D

Someone should have thrown a rule book at both the linesman and ref, as they did not have clue.
Seriously though, the guy from the LB lower was arrested, I presume a ban will follow. Just hope we don't get a fine or the police get the hump and start charging us more for increased manpower at the games.
One step away from bin kicking.

I saw what looked like a bottle thrown at the linesman on the riverside stand side when crewe scored the second. Absolute disgrace. What made this one worse was that the guy was on side!

I didn't see who threw the Antich one, but I did notice the steward call over the chief steward and tell him who he thought it was. Maybe they had a quiet word after the final whistle? If not, then the chief steward takes the responsibility as the other steward did point him out. I guess with more fans there on a regular basis as season ticket holders there is more likelihood of someone watching a few games, getting more fed up and reacting, than if it were just the die hard 6000 who paid 300 quid for a ticket. Maybe watching 8 games for 100 quid is enough for some people to think it is worth throwing things. If that's the case, then they should be banned, they are no supporter of football especially Town.

A lighter wow, should have been a golf ball, or at least a coin ;-)

We've gone up in the world from Smartie Tube Lid to Cigarette Lighter. What next, a new car?

You think this incident is bad, you want to go to a European game where plastic bottles are thrown on,sometimes litterally bombarding goalies, linesmen or referees. Have even seen a plate of paella go on at Malaga a couple of seasons ago. Funny as **** How tasteful is that.

Anyone who throws thing at a linesman/referee or players should be banned from the club permanently. The FA and FL do have sactions fr fineing and warning clubs right up to closing the stadium and making town play on neutral ground (Elland Road for example). Huddersfield were warned a couple of times last season, so you can imagine what the next step may be

Throwing things at the linesmen? Now that just isn't on I hope they get caught and kicked out of the ground. We don't need fans like that no matter how bad the ref or linesmen was! The linesmen who fell must have felt gutted for falling. I sure feel sorry for him, don't you think that was punishment enough? (assuming it was thrown at the same guy)

not condoning about the throwing incident but the happy clapper brigade on datm are in their element with this. I wish i was so perfect as some on here!!!! yeah right!!!
the ref on saturday was a disgrace, the linesmen not much better. Granted the 2nd goal was on side but the 1st is very debatable... all 3 would probably have benefited from being hit by something, it might have woke them up!!!!

there was an entry in the court in brief section of the examiner about 4 weeks ago where someone got nicked for throwing a lighter on the pitch - they were banned from every ground for 3 years and a 300 quid fine.
In the same section a bloke was nicked for supplying drugs, got a suspended 3 month sentance and 50quid fine
justice - my @rse.
