If that is the case fabulous - it will show some real thinking and strategy, however i fear big sam might fancy a bigger and better club than ours!!!

What rubbish, why would he need a month to work behind closed doors, I'm sure he could manage the team as well as targeting potential transfers. That is generally what managers are paid to do.

Similar set up to Bolton .. Stadium .. Town Size / Support .. if its worked once for him why not try it again ... hasn't big Sam played for Town? Maybe he's sentimental .. missing nights out in Huddersfield!!?

Boothroyd's been favourite since Freddi's first rumour. Sam went from 50-1 to 12-1 after his second one.
He works for Sky Bet doesn't he, its all so clear now

If it was on betfair then Id definitely accuse him of ramping but with skybets piddly little offerings he wouldnt be gaining anything from it anyway....

If Dean Hoyle can entice the Allardyce then we are in for a championship thrice. Div 1, Championship and Premiership cos Mr Dyce is the dice - YOU GOT THAT! WE ALL LOVE THE BIG SAM, WE ALL LOVE THE BIG SAM NA NA NANA NA NA NANA - Na, can't see it myself - that would just be too good to be true - we've had enough good news for the year - Next year will be the time, my friends.

If it is Allardyce, why does the appointment have to wait until January 1. He is out of work and says he is eager to start a new job.

for me best comment is further down the 606 post --
"a little bit like santaclause you want to belive it but you know its not true ho ho ho"
so, we had all better be good boys and girls so that we can be sure for Santa to come at Christmas -- ;D

Don't you just know that any bright new toy Town fans get for Christmas will be broken by Boxing Day.

I think its totally innaccurate... he'd want to trim at least 34% off the wage bill

This seems to fit in with one or two other rumours and the fact that players have started being shipped out.

I think it was posted after the players had been shipped out. I don’t want to get your hopes up but look at it this way: The players didn’t go until the last possible moment: yesterday PM. I don’t think that Luke just decided to go yesterday, nor did Woking or Darlo ring-up yesterday lunchtime in the off chance they could pick someone up. Maybe the deals were on the table waiting for the new (Big?) man to give his yea or nay.

True, but you've got to remember it was transfer deadline day yesterday, so it was our last chance to ship out a few players. I think its much more likely that Murphy would decide to loan out players he didn't need, rather than Allardyce wanting to get rid of players before he even took over.

The point I was trying to make was that all of those four deals must have been on the table before yesterday afternoon. Why wait? Particularly with LB.

Come on Mr Jarvis, can you at least tell us that the famous empty chair is once again being dusted off for it's annual / bi-annual / quarterly* (*delete as applicable ) airing at a press conference. Mr Hoyle has also gone very quiet on his weekly "keeping the fans informed" statements.

I'd agree with you normally but the Flynn thing was completely out of the blue, and didn't seem like a murphy decision.

I'd agree with you normally but the Flynn thing was completely out of the blue, and didn't seem like a murphy decision. It could have been the new (potential) manager shipping out one of Stan's right hand men.....and getting one of the larger wages of the bill.....and giving 2 young lads who won't initially figure in his plans some experience.
