Hopefully we've got rid of Flynn who was the biggest waste of space, The problem is we now have Craney who is probably worse. The other problem area is Clarke, If a Centre back isn't physical egnough then he needs pace to make up for it, Clarke has neither, thats why none of the 'premiership interest' ever materialised

Craney cant be that bad..scores goals but granted does get lost in games. I still think Clarke is one of our best players, but needs an injection of agression. Parker is a luxury we just cant afford to have, I imagine he would be great with a forward who created space for him, but that something else we are missing

dont think craney has been that bad,and flynn would likely have looked better had ternent actually bothered playin him in the centre, rather than on the left, which isnt his position

Craney's primary job is not to score goals, the fact he has done has been a bonus, he's a midfielder and his performance yesterday summed him up perfectly. Craney can't be hidden behind the fact he's scored a couple of goals

Strange with him, some games hes running at defences and looks really good then others he looks very average and does nothing at all, maybe the worthington statisticians who say we are much stronger with him are correct and he needs to come back in !!

Goodwin is the worst Town player I've ever seen. God I hope we win 6-0 tomorrow or you'll have to boo the team off.

goodwins been good last 5-6 games and only him and cads stood out yesterday the rest had a xmas hangover Goodwin was very poor yesterday. Hes in the team to break down opposition attacks and battle for the ball. He did neither and was totally dominated in the middle. We had plenty of poor performers in that game like Butler,Craney,Collins and Williams and Goodwin was right in there with them. Agree with you about Cads though. Wasn't on long but the only player who looked anything like somewhere near his best.

Regarding Denton, my mate went to watch him play in Town's reserves and his analysis was "will never make it to Town's first team".
I however, haven't seen him play so I can not comment on him.

so what he had a bad game yesterday dunt make him the worst player to play for us. i can name more than i have fingers so why bring that up is unknown. i think he is good at his job just in front of back four. and works well with craney in front so can push on. cant discuss denton with not seeing him play, i did play against him though when he was amatuer and wasnt the best just your average player in the district league so can he push to the first team then no. but we dont get the options to pick and drop players thats the gaffers job so all we can do is get behind the lads, SO COME ON TOMORROW GET BEHIND OUR TEAM!!!!

One thing this thread tells you is that our midfield, despite signing a hatfull of midfielders still is no where near good enough. Not one person rates. A few rate goodwin, a few dont, a few rate craney a few dont. Same with the rest. Not one player has the majority saying they rate him. With the money Ternent had, he should have brought in two quality midfielders who could do the business every week at this level.

Dont think Craney, Goodwin or Flynn are amy better or worse than Worthy, Collins and Berrett. But like has been said - since we have been lower midtable for the past couple of seasons, we needed better quality than the players we already had.
The same goes for Butler and to some extent Parker.
And Lucketti, Unsworth and Denton have barely even featured.
Ternent had the right idea in changing the culture of the club, shaking things up, bringing in his own men.
The trouble is, the guys he brought in were no better than the squad that has failed so miserably since November 2005.

Goodwin puts in a Man of the Match performance again, and Worthy doesn't make the bench Still, not much between them I don't think

Goodwin is the worst Town player I've ever seen. And what do you know i ask you... for the last 5 maybe more games when we have played well he has been one of the best men on the Field and today he was SUPERB!
