Brilliant performance full of fight and determination today.
The amount of chances we are creating should mean we can wipe the floor with anyone in this league - if only we had someone who could finish !!
Some people have posted that Jeavons had a good game today ! I thought he was pants - he just does not challenge for the ball and Parker is a waste of space - going nowhere.
It's obvious to me where Clarky should be looking to change things. If he can do this ( even with a loan signing ) I think we can still go up this season

I think boothy will have a big part to play, simple formula:
boothy+new striker(goal poacher andy payton type player)+ crosses from cads = GOALS a plenty.

If Boothy came back in next week and played for the rest of the season how many goals would he get? Id say 4 or 5. We could also enjoy going back to the endless hoofs in his direction for him to flick on to nobody or ,more to the point, see him increasingly be dominated be any decent centre back he comes up against.
Honestly he is NOT the answer. Impact player from the bench? Maybe. But if we're relying on Boothy to score and set up the goals we need then we can forget it. The guys a legend but his day is gone. he now takes far more from the team than he gives it.

Ricky Lambert would be a fantastic replacement for Boothy. Just depends how deep the coffers are and if he would be prepared to buy into the dream.

Apparently Coventry are very keen on Lambert also Peterborough have had bids turned down so i think it will be unlikely as with the Lita rumour.
Id like to see us make a move for Sherjill Macdonald of West Brom, even if its on loan till the end of the season.

We do def need someone new but Boothy would have done more yesterday than Jevons and Parker put togther. Jevo is not match sharp hence being offside all the time. If he gets a decent run in the team he will score a good number of goals. A game here, half a game their is not what he needs. I predict that if he gets a 10 game run he will net 5 goals!

Booth would plunder goals a plenty week in week out in this team. Furthermore he would make the odd aimless hoofball into a beautifully crafted forward pass that moves the entire team into the final third where we want to play. He can even hold it up and spread the play when its knocked up into his feet. What a player he is. Just the type we are all looking to sign in Jan and he's right under our nose!!!

Booth was surrounded by better players at Sheff Wednesday and Spurs but still wasnt and never will be a 30 goals a season striker. We need a new Booth, while the old one comes off the bench for the final 15-10mins of a game

We need NEW blood. x 2 strikers who work with each other ala Clyde and Marcus did...............could be goodbye Parker and Jevons in January

Whenever we mention the need for a physical striker, Lambert gets mentioned, but the problem is that several Championship sides are tracking him. The asking price will be steep as a result.
There are one or two other strikers about with a physical presence with decent goalscoring records. One that springs to mind is Glenn Murray at Brighton who has a slightly better than 1 in 2 strike rate for both Rochdale and Brighton. Only issue is that Brighton paid £300k for him and would surely want an offer higher than that.
