Bearing in mind his goal scoring record and his off the field "activities"........Would you accept him as a town player?
I'd say no. Even though he scores goals I wouldn't like to think that we are paying money to a man with his past. I would prefer to keep our morals in tact
Discuss....

No.
We need to be looking at someone younger. If we were to shell out 400k+, I;d rather we went for lambert, Dickenson or Stead even though they'd cost double what Hughes would.

No, even leaving his 'history' aside he is ageing (32) and not the type of striker we need.
I'm thinking more of a physical target man with good heading ability and hold up play.

Not remotely bothered about his past. After seeing him both home and away this year I'd say he's past it anyway. In his West Brom prime he'd have buried that late chance....

Not a chance.
He's a good player and probably exactly what we need but after what he did, no way.

Whats morals got to do with it - he's paid his dues to society, why is everyone so soft about it?? He's a footballer with a £400k buy out clause, and cheap at that price. If we haven't approached Oldham for him I'd be disappointed.

Where I was last night, Brooky seemed to be telling his mate that we were definitely in for him.

If you do sign him it will be interesting to see if you all (well, most of you) stick to your morals and refuse to support him.
Leeds fans have been through the same issue and the general consensus was that we couldn't support him, but it wouldn't be so easy if he started scoring goals, what can you do, stay silent and turn your back? Oldham fans seem to manage to live with it.
It's a really difficult one and one I hope we're never faced with.
