Clarke was fantastic, Butler was decent. One thing that annoys me about Butler is the way he panicks and kicks into touch when under little pressure, did it a few times yesterday. Butler was brilliant. He got both Nathan and Andy Holdsworth out of the chit early in second half. Hughes got in behind them both and Butler got across to make a superb last-ditch tackle.

i said it over and over and over again. Clarke played long balls because thats what managers TOLD him to do. You could see the team tactics for years revolved around getting the ball to Clarke to hit it long to Booth. Clarkes recent performances aren't due to some miraculous change in his ability to pass a ball. Its coz he is playing in a team that does not rely on him to hit it long. To be honest Clarke's improvement has not been in the last few games. He did well under Ternent. That's why Ternent kept faith with him when Lucketti recovered from injury.

Perhaps its because hes not been partnered with the hapless Dave Mirfin anymore.
