One word sums up the current state of the world
RECESSION!
£300+ ST's next season will put a good percentage of ST's off from renewing for next season as well putting off a percentage of those currently without one that could be enticed. Money is tight to many people and will be for a good 12/24 months or so whilst the world economy fights to recover. I'm sure already we all know someone who has been effected by a huge rise in unemployment.
£100 at least gives those who are watching the cashflow an incentive to buy one and is within many people's budgets.
Ok the ST's at a reduced price means a smaller revenue stream but with the commercial side riding high, things such as increased shirt sales etc will offset some of this balance.
I predict that attendances will plummet across the Premiership/Championship/Football League next season if clubs in general (with the exception of Bradford City who in my opinion have got it spot on) maintain current pricing structures.

We must remain financially secure and with the money thrown away by Stan it worries me-unless most of it was Uncle Kens and Dean is starting with no previous debt. Not sure Stan 'threw away' that much money, he actually made a few good signings, although I accept that Unsworth and Lucketti do look a little questionable, but Lucketti looked like a good signing at the time. Having said that, he did have the man management skills of Saddam Hussein roberts--super player butler--getting rave reviews every game now hes settled goodwin--same as butler craney--more goals than our entire midfield from last season nearly already flynn--not played enough in own position to form a fair opinion unsworth/lucketi looked good signings at time. he never made a proper bad call imo, just couldnt motivate any of em.

Your right we don't get a penny since he removed the shares, although it may be best not to start another debate :-). We do however get the procedes from the sales of Shirts, Merchandise and Programmes I assume?

To be honest, I think this is a stupid poll. Anyone in their right mind is going to vote for the cheap option! I will be buying one whatever the cost, but would obviously prefer to pay a lot less than the expected £350+ And, no - I haven't voted in the poll!

The main problem with Ternent's signings wasn't the quality of the players he was getting in, but the positions that they played in. If he'd have got another winger and a striker rather than all the central midfielders our squad would be a lot better.

Have a son to get through uni in all that, and with tuition and accommodation fees that's not easy! My daughter just finished Uni, has a short-term job, and now needs funds to get into the housing market. I know it all adds up, but Town are also a priority!

Problem is though that I quite like my seat in the Kilner bank! We've got 4 together as well so having unreserved seating could make it difficult to find seats together too.

when i got my season ticket i applied for the antich first but after i sat in there (think it was the tranmere match last season) ivowed to never go in that stand again way too many kids giving it the big hoo hah i changed my seat to the DG lower near the away fans and IMO its alot better no banging of the drum in my ear all through the game and when we chant (WHEN) you can feel the passion

How about a dual pricing scheme is introduced, charge £500 for a season ticket for those fans who have said they will pay "whatever it costs", and then charge £100 for the rest of us?

I think we have to accept teh £100 was only for the centenery and is not a viable amount in terms of business going forward.
I think it's likely they will at least double next season.

most prob right but they will lose around half of the ticket holders now, some will never return, surely doing something simelar to this season they will get the same revenue and have a nearly full stadium, after all bradford have done it twice and are thinking along the same for next season.

I'd think its almost impossible we could offer £100 season tickets next season - except that hasn't davy promised to fund with hoyle next season as well?
I'd be looking at the £150-200 mark.

I think a £200 ticket for what will be a championship / serious league 1 contender, will still be great value, and I don't think there would be a huge drop off of fans......

what will message will it give to our super new manegemnt team if we bump the prices back up and go back to 7/8k for home games, surely the fact that we have regulary 14k plus at the ground now was big sway to Lee & Co.
If as the club says they have broken even this yr vs. last it woud make sense to keep the season tickets at a price where most will buy without even thinking about it.
I bought 4 this year instead of the usual 2 and we have occupied all seats at 95% of games so far, have traded little girls to a an adult ticket on numerous occasions also.
unreserved is a big no no, not giving up my seat for anything

300 pound for an adult one means around 500 for me with 2 kids, its okay mentioning 300 if your single,i think hoyle will realise this however and also think the tickets will be fairly cheap again, capt is it right town will get the revenue from the pies/beer again after this season,if so the more people in are gonna spend more. Wish it was, but no it isn't right. The catering contractor pays KSDL an amount to sell their stuff at the ground. Town have never had any of the catering money since the stadium was opened ( though we did own 40% of KSDL until Davy). To illustrate how much revenue the club loses from this deal, the same catering contractor signed a £2m deal to sell its pies and beer at Valley Parade for four years. The deal was based on the gates the chickens were getting at the time it was signed ,which were about 8000 but the money would go up if the gates ( therefore sales) did. So as they now get 11 or 12000, Sadford will be getting significantly more than the initial £500k a year agreed. Whoever from Town agreed that 'deal' back in the early 90s wants shooting and it makes up a large chunk of the (roughly) £1.4m KSDL make from Town every year. ( but of course Town needed protecting from owning 40% of KSDL!! )

Just to add, the chickens don't own Valley parade like we don't own our ground, but its the club not the landlord that gets their catering money. Money which can then go towards most of their rent to the Gibb family pension fund, who do own VP.

yeah this thread is pointless the prices will be same as 2007/8 unless hoyle decides to change his mind IMO i cant see him doing that cause with the 100 pound offer him and uncle ken footed the bill so i reckon it was a one off Ken foots diddly squat Dean will do what's right
