He is pretty similar to Jevons from what i've seen. A little bit stronger but very similar lazy style. Obviously scored goals last 18 months but so had Jevons prior to coming to us. Think 325k could be a bit steep.

Think 325k could be a bit steep. From what I've seen he's a more of a 'fox in the box' kind of striker. Jevons tends to drop deep. He's what we need IMO, we're fine creating chances and he's good at taking them.

Got to agree.... apparently he worked very hard against Leeds.... wonder if his mind is made up to come to the famous Terriers ?

For the second time of asking, does anyone know if he has any pace? All this talk of him being a bit like Jevons unnerves me! Except... he does know where the goal is, which would make a refreshing change. And shouldn't our priority be a big target man, with a presence in the box, to replace Boothy? Or might we get both!

No he's not that quick... He's probably of similar pace to Jevo... I've seen him play a few times and Carlisle employed him as a target man - seemed to both struggle yet be a handful at the same time if that makes sense?

Clark seems like the type who can sell the club to a potential signing. Players want to go on to bigger things. Personal improvement is part of that process so a club with a good coaching staff can swing it all else being equal (mainly money). Wouldn't totally rule out Graham coming here yet.

Location - Preston, probably wouldn't have to up sticks, so a plus there, albeit that shouldn't really be an obstacle to a 23 yr old lad.
Agent - depends how sleazy his agent is... (ie how much of a VI he has for himself rather than DG)
On the whole, Preston have threatened to get into the "big time" a few times in the last few seasons so he'll be aware of that.
So on the same thread ref; agents, it's probably how savvy his agent is in respect to football finances and the likely turmoil in the coming months, will Town be a better bet in terms of longer term stability than any of the others?
Que Sera Sera...

i dont think he'll sign for preston they have 4 good strikers already and i think he could struggle to get into the first team, if anyhting he'd be gettign signed to be back up to the beast!

Rumour this end has it 3 clubs have had offers accepted, i assume Town and preston are two of them. acknowledging it is only 'paper' talk, believe both davey at barnsley and martinez at swansea have publically commented that the rumour links of graham to their clubs are not accurate. so, we will have to wait for the story line of this soap opera to unfold...

He may not get as many games at Preston but if the money is good, they are a Championship side, so surely he would fancy them over us?

No further than £325,000 though! As we know, he is out of contract at the end of the season so I don't us to get ripped off by being too in need of a striker.

if thats correct i'd say its between us and preston. charlton are far from an attractive proposition at the moment and with location to boot i'd rule them out. i'd say preston are favourites. he'll prob sign for charlton tomorrow!

325K for a player out of contract in 6 months seems far too much.It sounds like highway robbery to me.

Phil Parkinson was on Talksport just after 8pm and made out that funds are tight and that he would have to rely on loan or "wheeling and dealing and player trades"
So, unless they looking to swap with Chris Dixon or Izale McLeod (both of which I would think would be doubtful), I can't see Charlton being in for him.
