How nice it is to see a young manager on the touchline looking like he is wanting to kick evey ball and win the header. Superb watching him yesterday, like Jacko but with more tactical nouse, the blokes already won me over and most Town fans. Also with the atmosphere and the whole stadium feel good factor it may be very good times ahead. We all know what is needed so lets just trust our new manager.

I love the way he tries to watch from the stands at first, and lasts about 2 minutes before coming down to the touchline.

Im not just saying this because Im Town and have been for 40 yrs, We will put the Leeds, Sadfords, and other yorkshire clubs in the shade with the new set up......we are going to improve on how we are playing and strengthen, thats why deano brought this new team in for the next years. p.s. Roberts was superb even if he does too much.

He knows you can see things better from up there - he was like a yo-yo in the first half yesterday - and nothing wrong with that! You can tell he's wanted this time since he was 17.

Delighted with Clarky and his team, but let's not forget that it was Gerry and Mitch who reversed the turnip rot. I should imagine they might be feeling a bit jealous/aggrieved about all the acclamation going to LC and his crew when results wise they did just as well.
We have been very reluctant to admit it, but I think we have a decent set of players at this club who perform well when they are confident. I am fairly sure that LC will build on the contributions of the GMs far more substantially than the GMs could have done themselves, but I will not forget their vital positive influence. Perhaps LC and his team would not have been tempted down to the Galph if the GMs hadn't shown what was possible with these players?
Well done to all concerned (DH obviously included) and it is so nice to have a happy club back after all these years.

It's nice to see we have a manager with passion and sense of humour too at last, ternip head and ritchie never showed an ounce of passion, ritchie just propped up the dugout and ternip just hurled abuse. Happy days ahead

The honesty and professionalism of the management team and the chairman is what does it for me. I enjoy how the club doesn't discuss speculation, good for business now and in future.

The rollocking that smithies got for that was bollocks imo. Smithies was cool and calm and chipped a perfect ball to Butler, but due to Butler looking like a park footballer at times with the ball at his feet, he shit himself and sliced it out of play. Butler should have got the bollocking not Smithies.

Butler should have got the bollocking not Smithies. Butler never looks like a park footballer, but Roberts often does when the ball is on his right foot! The team has to play to their strengths and perhaps Butler wasn't the right choice to throw to just as Collins wouldn't be expected to make a last ditch tackle. Butler merits his place in the team because of his other major attributes just as Roberts and Collins do. If any bollocking was necessary it was because the team were not playing to their strengths.

There was a classic moment when Jevons headed the ball into space in their box rather than having a pop, Clark span to the dugout &while shouting mimed the chest & volley that PJ should have done! Absolute passion from LC & you can see he'd love to be out there still.

If that ball had gone to williams, holdsworth or clarke i expect we would have just played the ball out of defence but Butler isnt exactly competent with the ball at his feet but is a great defender at this level

Notice when we score that he stays calm and continues to give the team instructions from the touchline rather than getting carried away, he's absolutely fantastic! Jacko would have been down the tunnel cracking open the champagne when the second went in yesterday I thought the biggest rollocking went to Jevons though for giving away possession at the end leading to their goal. Certainly made his point by bringing him off soon after. Jevo didn't half look ****** off though! ;D

Still, it shows the lad is confident, which is good.

I'd say if all we can moan about is a mis-placed pass from the keeper (and mexican waves!) it means that the team is doing very well :

On the Clark post match talk with Oggy
He said at least twice that good strikers have that natural goal scoring instinct.
Obviously saying Jevons & Parker have not!

Think he said good strikers are born with the instinct as well, suggesting that if you weren't lucky enough to be born with it, then you weren't going to develop it... Coaching can only do so much at the end of the day, a lot about success is what's inside the bonce...

Look who has been subbed last couple of games...kind of makes you think we're prob after TWO strikers...especially with Clark saying you can't coach that killer instinct in the box, it sounds like he's decided they aren't good enough.
