Work until 5:30 (In Leeds) so think I would just about miss Kick off.
Yeovil Away, On a Tuesday Night, Which Genius thought that one up, They must have a team of Monkeys Working on the Fixture Lists.
You would have thought they could arrange mid-Week fixtures fairly local, Oldham, Leeds, even Hartlepool!

if im right they say its cheaper for teams to make long trips in midweek as they dont have to stay overnight before the game (unlike if its a saturday game) and they prefer local games to be weekend games as more people are likely to be able to get to them

The Greedy Beggery Cheap Skate Buggers, Its only £50.00 for a travel lodge on a Saturday night.

they'd be staying overnight on the friday, not the saturday-in a way i can see the reasoning behind it,also a case of you're hardly going to have a team of what,20-25 people (if you include staff etc) wanting to stay overnight in a travel lodge next to a motorway are ya?you'd want to stay overnight in a proper hotel,in a quieter area where you're unlikely to get disturbed

They cant win really. Derbys on a week night people would moan, long distance on a week night people moan, its a rock and hard place situation. You part timers should just have taken 2 days off work like I have ;D

like i said, you want to be somewhere quiet, where you wont be disturbed, decent place where you can have a team meeting/meal in total privacy away from other people (im sure in hotels thats possible, even just in a locked off meeting room, probably more so than travel lodges) and not have a motorway for company through the night-not cheapskates at all tbh,if anything in a way i'd say its a reasonably sensible decision as it'll save on alot of money (when you take the rooms, food, possibly even booking 1 of the conference suites into account for private team meetings/meals as well as other things, that'll come to quite alot id imagine)
