Not 100% yet, L***s have until tomorrow to appeal (on there official site, sorry dont know how to linky thing) If they appeal, it will only be because they are desperate for him to play in their cup final. There is no way it will be overturned, so it can only be a delaying tactic, for which there can only be one reason. No-one can say that a ban is undeserved; what an idiot. I would guess that if he decides to not accept the 3 match suspension and to have a personal hearing, there is a possibility that he could get more than a three match ban.

even if they appeal it'll be rejected,he wont get away with it-in terms of the pushing,if im right he'd been warned earlier in the game by the ref,so the ref likely thought "i've had enough, hes going in the book" and if he appeals it'll be heard on friday, which means he'll still be banned anyway as they wont overturn it

They'd be daft to appeal, the likelyhood is the ban would be extended if they did

i doubt that
"A Regulatory Commission will hear the charge on Friday 13th February 2009."
as with any appeal,it'll be heard and a verdict decided on the same day-have to admit if they do appeal it,the ban probably should be extended, just because its what the FA would call a frivolous appeal,ie appealing for appealings sake, despite knowing they have no chance of it being overturned, because its so blatant and they say leeds have wasted their time

Yes but last time he was injured they struggled so if they struggle for another 3 game that might us help make up some ground. Glad hes out, he deserved it anyway.

Hes their top scorer despite missing loads of games. 10 in his last 9 games. The eleven they field will be weaker with him not in it so of course we're going to be happy about it!

Whatever. Their remaining strike force is still superior to ours but hopefully this is going to change as of this coming Saturday.

Deserves it more for his arrogance in the after game interview than the actual on field elbow. Not laughing now are you Jermaine? ;D

I reckon it will be Lukas and Gary Roberts. best guess would be to count on sod's law working and the beast not being available (that way if he is, than we are pleasantly surprised), so that would leave luka with an other -- roberts being a sensible option, there are a few other possiblities open to LC, which gives us all something to anticipate and look foward to, that and another 3 points off l**ds of course ;D

Beckords attitude is seriously questionable. Sensible thing to say in the interview would have been 'I'll leave it up to the officials to make there own judgements on what went on during the match', instead he says 'nah mate nuffink appened', which basically means he stuck one one the keeper on purpose.
If Leeds appeal, then they are basically condoning his actions, and if they do that, the whole footballing community will dislike them more.
Can we sing 'There's only no Jermaine Beckford', now on saturday.
