I lost patience with Jevons a long time ago - he is not good enough to be even a squad player in a promotion winning team.
We need two strikers who are a threat when they start, and one impact striker on the bench if one of the two loses form/gets injured/subbed
Jevons is useless and i honestly hope we dont have to witness too many more of his half hearted (at best) displays in a town shirt again.

Theres been a few games lately where we really could have done with bringing Worthy on. Carlisle, Yoevil, Peterbrough, Leicester. He hasn't been given a chance under Clark. Pleased to read about him doing so well at Yoevil and I know Scunny and probably others were after him in January but we wouldn't loan him to a promotion rival quite rightly. Its a shame cos the kid is Town through and through and hasn't ever let the club down and still could have a part to play in this clubs revival given the chance. Baring in mind Goodwin is one late tackle off a 2 game ban I find it crazy that hes away earning rave reveiws with another L1 club. I completely agree with Slaps. We have little real cover for Goodwins place, let alone competition. The fact that Scunny with hopes of auto promotion were wanting him for their final push shows that there is a definite place for a Worthy type player in a footballing side. Even just as a sub, a central mid of Worthy and Goodwin to see games out would have helped us on countless occasions this season IMO. Worthy earned huge accolades for his performance against P'boro on Saturday and if he can do the business against their midfield I certainly think that puts him in the 'should keep' category.

What about Berrett? Playing devils advocate here but i think Berrett could provide adequate cover for Goodwin when he gets suspended. Although he is is not as tenacious as Worthy his passing range is better, as is his posistioning.

I sit near Clark and it is obvious he is spitting feathers when it comes to Jevons' performances. He still shakes his hand, and slaps him on the back when he comes off the pitch though. if this is the truth why the hell does he keep bringing him off the bench then?

Jevons didnt even play that badly! Leave him alone! Looked 100% out of his depth on Saturday. We have a squad that is made up of players who can - despite what some posters think - can do a professional job, just not all at this level. Jevons is a 4th division player, as is Worthy.

Clark and Jevons "exchanged" words about 15-20 minutes into the 2nd half. Jevons certainly wasn't happy about whatever Clark said and neither was Clark to his reaction.
Jevons has one significant problem in the role he is being asked to play, he has absolutely no pace. Being asked to play the Roberts role of dropping off and picking the ball up and running with it just isn't him. I am afraid he is out of his depth in this team and will continue to struggle. I'd have put Craney on shoved Pilks upfront and Collins out right.
With regard to Worthy: I would be sorry to see him go but he is clearly down the pecking order now and at his age he deserves to play regular football. I am sure that no-one would begrudge him a move at this stage in his career. It should be noted that he has played no higher than League 1 and is now in his mid twenties. Is it fair (on him) we should keep him as a squad player? I don't think so, if he goes I am sure he will do a good job for where he ends up.

with regard to worthy - i said it at the time and i'll say it again now, i reckon we'd have got something out of the yeovil game had he been playing. i'd keep him.
with regard to jevons we should never have signed him permanently in the first place. he wasn't good enough on loan so why on earth he got offered a deal we'll never know. it was said that he was working his way back to fitness but it's been over a year now, how long does it take? and would this fitness bring effort of some description? i doubt it.
and whoever it was who said get rid of cads, are you mental?!

Lack of alternative to replace tired legs at the moment? Tehoue not cleared yet. Booth injured. Cadamareteri as above. Parker crap. Broadbent/Novak/Denton out on loan. In the striking department, he still hasn't had much of a chance to make his mark on the squad personnel-wise. He'll probably be gone in the summer.

I would probably keep Cads but only on a pay as you play deal, or maybe one year at a stretch
His appearance and goal scoring records are poor, and whilst he has started to look lively in the last couple of months, not sure that should be enough to give him another 2 year deal

Whilst we might be able to use Worthy in some specific matches this season I get the impression that Clark is trying to build the basics of a side which will be able to step up to Championship level. It's safe to assume he doesn't think that JW can do this and I think he's right. No reason we can't find someone in the summer with the qualities JW brings but in addition has skills which sadly Worthy will never have.

Jevons has one significant problem in the role he is being asked to play, he has absolutely no pace. I think Jevons’ problem is that he won’t do what he’s being asked to do; he’d rather stay in his comfort zone.

A bloke at work managed to wangle a ticket for the L**ds game. He was sat dead next to the Town dugout. As he is not a massive Town fan, he spent quite a bit of time watching what was going on in the dugout. After putting up with Jevons lack lustre performance, he lip-read the following from Clark to McDermott "I'm losing patience with that c**t Jevons". Sorry Nelly but Clark may be despairing of Jevons and his recent displays, although he has still chosen him for the bench, yet I cannot believe that someone as professional as he appears to be? would come out with such an expression!! anywhere in public. I doubt he would say it in private?
